"Ever changing & diverse"

I grew up here in the 90s through to the 2000s. Originally a Greek suburb, now has ppl from all over, mainly French, Indonesians, Brazilians, Chinese & Jewish. Socioeconomic background of the population varies too. Junction has students & families. Storey st & surrounds are mansions. Housing commissions are around the beach but surrounding apartments are gentrifying. Always felt safe growing up here. Close to city, Surry Hills, airport, UNSW, schools, beach. Some airport noise though.

"Great place to raise kids"

I live closer to Willoughby side of Chatswood which I think is the better side. Leafy, quiet, surrounded by parks but walking distance to shops. Lots of childcare options & great public transport access & choices & public schools.

Around the station is crowded & I personally wouldn't live that side.

Local library has plenty of programs for babies to kids. They stock kids books in Tamil, Arabic, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

Love the night markets & authentic Asian eateries.
