With the Olympics in less than 10 years you would think their train system is atleast showing signs of being modernised. But no it is embarassing so bad very dirty platforms and filthy trains even in Central stations in the city. Their ticketing system is a joke with the vending machines from last century. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Then apart from Soutbank which is good the only other thing to do there is go to the Shopping malls Westfields mainly which are packed to the walls with people trying to keep themselves from getting bored as theres fudge all to do during the day.

In terms of capital growth for your property investments it is 1 hour either way to the paradise haven of Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast where you can actually enjoy living. It really depends on the immigration of people from Sydney/Melbourne as the local buyers would never be able to push prices higher.
