I have lived on Mitford street for over 5 years. It's a very convenient place to live. Close bus stop, and short walk to the 96 on Acland street and 67 Tram on Nappean Hwy. Very close to the great shopping strips: Glen Eira Road, Balaclava, Acland Street, Fitzroy St, Glen Huntly road Elsternwick. 2 Walking distance supermarkets Coles and Woollies and organic supermarkets Leef and Little Hen 15 mins walk. 2 beeches virtually on your doorstep, St Kilda and Elwood. I ahve been living on the top end of St Kilda bordering Elwood. Living here witha young family is great. Everything is walking distance. Good places to eat out and have drinks. Lots of playgrounds for kids, walks by the beach on the St Kilda Esplanade. Over the years is getting better and better and Port Phillip council is investing quite a bit of money in improvements in the area.
