"Ok suburb but has it's problems"
Safe and sound = did not feel it. Abusive youth at times and loiterers are present along the trainline

Doesn't every suburb have it's problems - unless of course you live on the North Shore where the problems are a little more up market!
thirtysomething people on the north shore just happen to be people who work hard, look after themselves and their nieghbours!! Dont diss or stereotype people or areas just because they have it better off!!!! People who live in areas like guildford have chosen the life they live and noone from affluent suburbs put them their!!!
PhilS....clearly education put them "there", but many of us in Postcode No-go areas are educated TOO. We just don't enjoy postcode snobbery.
I agree its got a lot to do with the very very large middle eastern population

"Excellent Value"
Wasn't sure about Homebush when moved in but a year in (and finally setting down) realized a lot of value. The north side of Homebush (Park road area) Its walking access to DFO, flemington, north strathfield and even strathfield is only 20 mins walk away so that bumps up the transport. Peaceful, quiet and safe during day or night.
Great for
- Access to strathfield without the crowd around
- 15 mins to cbd
- Easy acces to so many places
- Lots of transport
- Cheap grocery shopping

Who would not want to live in Sydney!!!!.In fact before we kids were even born my parents were even considering after moving all around Australia arriving here from Singapore in Mid 1972 there as it reminded them of the old place they came from. How we got it all wrong due to a language barrier with one of the doctors in New South Wales over the whole come to Tea incident.I wish my family had got there to this day.The only thing that would have worried me was having to start High School one year earlier when my old Adelaide Friends would still have been in Primary School.
