"Convenience and Accessibility"

Annerley is one of Brisbane’s hidden gems. Just a few kilometers south of the CBD, it offers excellent convenience and accessibility with frequent public transport and major roads nearby. The community is diverse and welcoming, reflecting a mix of young professionals, families, and retirees.

The suburb boasts a great selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets. Green spaces are abundant, with parks and reserves perfect for outdoor activities. Families will appreciate the highly regarded schools and essential services.

"Amazing suburb"

We were a little apprehensive moving to Annerley, but it has been the best decision ever. Have always lived in affluent suburbs and Annerley is the most refreshing suburb. So many kind people, great community that sticks together and very progressive.

"almost perfect"

We lived in Annerley for less than a year and we loved the parks and clean streets. Living close to Ipswich Rd is the best. I am writing ALMOST, because there is still crime (thieves) happening, also some idiots racing. Overall: good place

"Central but noisy"

Annerley is great for access to everything you need or want to get to - city, entertainment, unis, hospitals, parks, river - it’s great! But it’s got a lot of big arterial roads running through that never seem to sleep, and the hospital helicopters flying over all the time.

"Everything on your Doorstep!"

Being a previous resident myself and selling homes in Annerley since 1993 following on from a decade long career at Annerley CBA, I am very familiar with the area.

Only 5km from the Brisbane CBD, Annerley is an inner-city locale where its residents are still afforded a peaceful suburban lifestyle. With an eclectic mix of beautiful Queenslanders, Colonials, post-war and grand modern homes, the area offers many opportunities for growth and renovation.

Transport in and around the area is made easy with two train stations (Fairfield and Dutton Park) boarding the suburb. A fantastic bus link is also available, as well as easy access to the M3.

The suburb is home to many amenities including a medical centre, chemist, local shops, restaurants, and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. It is also a short commute to numerous shopping villages including Buranda and Stones Corner, along with other hospitals such as the Mater, Queensland Childrens’ and Greenslopes Private Hospital.

"Annerley has a great community and is so convenient to everywhere!"

Having lived in Annerley for 6 years (and still living only 200m out of Annerley's borders now) I can tell you that it's absolutely my heart-home. The community has become more and more close-knit over the last 10 years and people all strive to make it a more inclusive and convenient place for people to live. The shops are not fair away either in Annerley Junction or Fairfield Gardens which you can walk to from most Annerley locations. The train stops at Fairfield and Dutton Park are equally as convenient for commuting and the PA Hospital, Queensland Children's Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital are only minutes away by public transport or car. Being on 5km into the CBD, Annerley is a well sought-after suburb with so much to love. Grand old houses are interspersed with contemporary townhouses and units so that there is a space for everyone and their needs in this lovely suburb. Join the Annerley-Stephens History Group or become involved with the Annerley Community Service with Community Plus+ who help the Annerley Junction Trader's Association put on a wonderful mid-year market and music festival each year. Junction Park State School is considered one of the best schools in the area with an excellent P&C association that cares for the community and puts on a really amazing fete every year. Move to Annerley, you'll love it here!

"Affordable Inner City Living"

Perfectly positioned on the Inner City fringe, Annerley has a wonderful synergy of lifestyle and convenience whilst still boasting the suburban charm often lost closer to the CBD. A central hub for transport and shopping the suburb offers both buses and trains in and out of the CBD, easy access to the M3 to head north or south and is within close proximity to Woolworths Annerley, Buranda and Moorooka as well as Fairfield Gardens and Stones Corner. The suburb is under constant rejuvenation with strong residential and commercial development as well as renovation. A nice mixture of character homes, good sized blocks and wide streets with new townhouse developments and small unit complexes. A must for anyone wanting proximity and lifestyle without the hustle and bustle of the CBD. Very affordable and a suburb which is on the rise it also has a number of medical centres, the Princess Alexandra Hospital as well as schools and day care and a short walk across the Green Bridge to UQ.

"Convenience is King"

A really popular and convenient suburb only 4km from the city. An eclectic mix of entry level properties to high end homes. Annerley has some beautiful pockets with stunning homes. There are many great places to eat as well as parks and sporting clubs. Access to the city is a breeze with trains, buses, SE freeway and clem7 tunnel nearby.

"Has it all!"

The food in Annerley is amazing. There's a good mix of people, from families to students. I definitely recommend this suburb for students, it is well connected to public transport and not as pricey as suburbs closer to the CBD. Live anywhere but Ipswich Rd and you wont have a problem with parking. Plenty of shopping options plus cute cafes. Nice and quiet, a couple of cute parks around. Only hassle is Ipswich Rd congestion at peak times.

"We love Annerley"

We absolutely love living in Annerley. It was not an area we had previously considered because of distance from family but it is so convenient to everything. We can access Indooroopilly, Carindale and Garden City shopping centre in 15 minutes. We can access the city in 10 minutes and have excellent public transport. We are very close to the PA Hospital and the Mater and so many health/medical professionals are moving into the area. Although Ipswich Road runs through the suburb, we live on the Tarragindi side and it is very quiet, leafy and green with great parks. Annerley has a vintage/handmade vibe that is developing even more. The schools are excellent (both private and public. The Qlder's are some of the most beautiful in Brisbane and are being renovated beautifully. Best of all - our neighbours and our street are friendly and we are developing a great friendship. There are loads of kids and is family friendly.

Annerley is situated about 5 kilometres from the city, with Fairfield train station on the Fairfield/Annerley border and Dutton Park train station lying on the Dutton Park/Woolloongabba/Annerley border. The suburb has two schools, a primary and a private. Annerley is the perfect place for people who want to live in a pleasantly quiet within arms reach of the all that Brisbane offers.

"Close to the city-but far enough away!"

Annerley is a fantastic place to live and rase a family. It's 5 ks to the city and less to Southbank, its full of long time locals and multi-cultural neighbours. It's safe, leafy and friendly. It's got all the advategous of trendier suburbs without the pretension. los of parks and animal friendly areas. FANTASTIC

"Caroline Street is close to everything and still affordable inner suburb living."

The joy of living in Caroline Street is that - apart from the weekend trips to visit friends - we hardly use our car!

Caroline Street is walking distance to all public transport - bus or train take your choice! 30minutes from home to desk in the CBD is great. With the recent addition of the train noise barrier the train noise has been reduced significantly to the point where we don't notice it anymore.

It is also a short bike ride or a good walk to St Lucia campus for student. A 5 minute walk to Coles and amenities at Fairfield Gardens. A short drive and you hit West End's restaurant strips. We love living here and its proximity to everything. Even the best coffee in Brisbane - Evo on School Road at Yeerongpilly.

The population in the area is moving to include many more younger families and every afternoon there are plenty of new parents out for a walk with their kids. The Corso is only a 10 minute walk away and provides for a great backdrop for runs or walks.

We have never had any problems with security and safety. We haven't heard of any neighbours having any problems either.

Resale wise this suburb is a winner! Our place has more than doubled in value since we purchased it 5 years ago.
