Reviews of Bateau Bay, NSW
"bateau bay best suburb on central coast"
we moved up to the central coast nearly 5 years ago from the northern beaches. Their is not much difference between the 2 locations everything is in close proximity. We are only a 2 min car ride to the shopping centre and on a bus route I would recommend the central coast to anyone.

"Coastal Oceanside Suburb"
I have lived in Bateau Bay for over 25+ years. Location wise it is fantastic. I love everything about living here! It situated on the ocean, with lots of national parks and walking tracks to Crackneck Lookout. It's about half way between Tuggerah Westifeld and Erina Fair, both major shopping, restaurants and cafe precincts. There are so many wonderful cafes in nearby suburbs too. And it's only 15 mins drive to a train line or the M1 motorway for any commuters. (Kelley Seaton, Director/Property Manager, The Leasing Network, 0400 454 531, [email protected])

"Great Value Beachside Living"
This has to be the best value beachside suburb around. Whether you relaxing under a shady umbrella on the golden beaches, viewing panoramic scenery from Crackneck Lookout or riding the mighty surf this suburb has so much to offer and is central to everything. The many reserves have some great bbq facilities most with adequate parking areas and Bateau Bay Reserve has an off the leash dog area.
And its not all sun and surf. There are outstanding sporting facilities for footy, croquet, basketball, tennis, tenpin bowling, gym and a golf range all at The Entrance District Sporting and Community Centre. Many cafes, clubs and restaurants in the area and great shopping at Bay Village Shopping Centre plus smaller centres at Cresthaven and Bateau Bay Road. Easy access to transport. Bateau Bay Public School, Brooke Ave Public School and Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College are some of the local schools available. Medical is available at Bay Village Shopping Centre.
One of the best viewing in the whaling migration season is at Crackneck Lookout. The views are amazing. There are also some great walks in the Wyrrabalong National Park or just take a walk along Bateau Bay Beach on sunset.
The housing in this area is a mixture of older style, modern and retirement living, ranging from moderately priced on the Western side of The Entrance Road to more expensive the closer you get to the beaches. The traffic along The Entrance Road can be heavy and Bateau Bay Road can be busy at times. Beach areas can be busy over summer. Approx 20 minutes to trains, F3 and Westfields Tuggerah or 10 minute drive to the beautiful The Entrance town centre.
