Drive a little less than four hours from Cincinnati and you will be in the heart of Ohio Amish country in Holmes County. Berlin features an Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center. Millersburg features a unique, historic downtown with Victorian homes, local arts and crafts, and much more. Millersburg is also home to the 116 acre farm, Yoder's Amish Home. Yoder's Amish Home features guided tours of two houses and a barn, as well as buggy rides, a bakery, and a gift shop. Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton offers tours of historic buildings, shopping, dining, and more. Ohio Amish country is home to the largest Amish settlement, so there are many places to visit and many things to do in this area covering more than five counties of east-central Ohio.

There are many Amish communities throughout the state of Ohio, with most of them being in the Northeastern part of the state. However, there is an Amish community in Adams County, not too far from Cincinnati. Adams County sits along the Ohio River a little over 60 miles east of the city. You'll need to drive for about an hour out state route 32 to reach the Adams County Amish communities of Tranquility, West Union, and Manchester. There you will find a variety of places to stay, shop, and eat. You can also check out a number of barns throughout the county, all painted with traditional Amish quilt designs painted on their doors.
