Double Bay has it's own beach (at the end of Beach St). It's very pretty and faces north - great for kids and taking in the sun. Redleaf Pool (below the Woollahra Council Chambers) is the best for swimming. It enjoys a wide, north facing beach and there is an enormous caged, harbour pool as well as cafe/toilet facilities.
It's a serious local favourite.
