Good places to stay along Murray River?
Myself and a few mates are thinking about a camping/fishing trip over christmas along the Murray river.
We live in Melbourne so we're thinking Echuca would be a good place to go to. (closest, and most populated)
Can anyone recommend any good caravan parks in the area - with walking/public transport facilities to the town centre?
Not looking for anything extragant - just a place to pitch our tents, and communal toilet/shower facilities.

In the Port area of Echuca is the Echuca Caravan Park which is a large park within walking distance of the central part of town. Most other parks are on the edges of town and not easily accessable by foot.
