Tankhill has been with the current owners from 1995 and they now wish to scale down and retire to the South Coast.

Total area of 1,365 ha's with all cleared bar small areas of shade & shelter in some areas. Estimated cleared pastured area at 1,320 hectares with some movement of fencing & general clean up this area could increase; grazing country would be above this figure with an estimated figure of 1,340 from DAS report.
Tankhill has a good range of mixed clovers been Nungarin & Geraldton, over the years clover seed has been harvested from the property.

Soil types over the property are mixed and comprising of sandy duplex soils, ironstone gravelly soils, sandy gravel soils. Original vegetation a mix of mallee, gimlet & tamar.

Rainfall on the property over many years is averaging around the 330 mms & this year early rains have set the property up for a good to above average year at this stage.

The property has an excellent water supply, this includes, two scheme water connections, 11 dams, 2 soaks, two winter dams and 2 x 10,000 litre water tanks. The scheme water makes this property drought proof.

Tankhill is well fenced with 11 main paddocks and two smaller holding paddocks, most of the boundary is in excellent condition with some new and with internals of a good standard in most areas. The new fencing is 7-line ringlock on steel posts.
Improvements on the property are adequate and comprise of a brick and c-iron homestead in need of some renovation but liveable and sound. Machinery shed, steel and iron with concrete floor, power and 4 stand shearing shed at one end. Attached to the shed are sheep yards with other sheep yards to be erected if required, concrete sliding roof fertiliser shed with estimated capacity of 150 to 200 tonnes, 2 x 2000 bu silos and 2 x 600 bu silos.

In the 2024 season we have approximately 1,100 hectares of crop, canola and other mixed grains, the balance is pasture and running 1,200 ewes and lambs.

Fertiliser over the years is determined on seasonal conditions, pastures have fertiliser over most years and the crop country is mainly Agras and trace elements at rates of 100 to 120 kg per hectare.
