"Excellent, convenient family friendly suburb."

We lived in Kallangur a few years ago and it was a very pleasant location, close to all amenities such as, north Lakes shopping precinct , train station, sports facilities, schools and motorway.
Express train 30 mins from the city providing easy access to work in the Brisbane CBD area. 30 to 40 mins drive to CBD, 25 mins to Redcliff , 35 mins to Bribie Island and 45 mins to Sunshine Coast 🌞.

"Fantastic location!"

We used to live in a quiet leafy area of kallangur near Dakabin station.
It's so convenient walking distance to the Dakobin station which is an express train takes that takes about 30 mins to the Brisbane CBD. Within 10 mins drive to the North Lakes Westfild, Ikea, Costco etc. Closed to the schools.
We saw koalas some times in the suburb. Family friendly area.

Kallangur heights is a great area we bought a house in campbell street off market for over 700,000 the house needed lots of work but with prices rising and value for money we absolutely love the location so close to Northlakes shops only took us less than 3mins we have shops all around us food outlets and everything we need and less traffic..absolutely can't recommend it enough to anyone considering to move here ,about $200,000 cheaper than northlakes and closer to everything.

So true Jenny we live around the corner welcome to the area such a beautiful great spot definitely peaceful and bigger homes and land and so accessible to everything we have lived here for 7yrs and a great place for family and shops, we are actually closer than alot of other homes are in northlakes to northlakes. Anywhere close to a major shopping centre will go up in value our home has tripled in 7 yrs ..they are very hard to find in those streets you mentioned and very sought after..

My son and daughter-in-law and young adults live in the street that has a creek behind the houses. fantastic walk along the creek, often see Koalas and water dragons and sometimes those wriggly things you have to be careful of but not often. the view and walk along the creek is really something special.

"Safe and peaceful"

We have been renting in Kallangur for 8 months and have enjoyed it. Anything you could think of is nearby, if not in Kallangur itself, close by in Strathpine or North Lakes (either side). Great public transport with buses and train, great major road connections also. We have mostly families and retirees in our surrounding streets and don’t hear much more than a bbq now and then and mowers. We back on to the train tracks and barely notice the trains

Great to hear you are loving the Kallangur area Miriam. Our team live and work in the area and we love the convenience and amenity of Kallangur. It is smack bang in the middle of the Moreton Bay Region and has fantastic services. It's great to see the suburb performing so well. Back in 2019 we anticipated Kallangur was on the verge of a property boom and it hasn't disappointed property owners https://affinityproperty.net.au/kallangur-set-to-boom-as-a-property-hot-spot/

So true Miriam we bought a property off market in around the Campbell st Lintone st area this place up here is amazing it borders northlakes and is in a amazing position so close and handy and we paid just over 700k for a old renovated 3bed 1 bath that needed a lot of work but we love it here so close to everything the best move we have ever made I can highly recommend this area with great size blocks and great people

"Ktown"

Ktown, as it is known to the locals, is perfectly central to everything and very affordable. Which is why we rented here while building our new home. There's a beautiful walking track along Freshwater Creek which would be better if not for the dickheads tearing it up on their dirt bikes and stray dogs roaming around due to all the falling down back fences. So many have huge hardcore dogs who are 'very friendly' except when the attack your dog. Open the windows and you'll be blessed with the sound of neighbours screaming and swearing at their kids, and on our street the 50km/h speed sign must secretly read 'as fast as you can, nobody gives a shit.' Ktown is having a bit of an upgrade in the near future, hopefully to elevate it enough so locals start to actually care for their community instead of ending up another polished turd.

"Brilliant location -The closer to Dohles Rocks Road, the better."

I live just off Dohles Rocks road, it's an amazing location. 1 min drive to either Kallangur or Petrie station, Trains are barely audible (you can hardly hear them), walking distance to North Leagues Club, 4 minute drive to the Motorway, 6 minute drive to North Lakes Westfield, lovely street full of friendly neighbours. Have lived here for 8 years, never any issues or problems, absolutely love it. Oh, and there's a new Uni going in across the street soon too. Hopefully it'll have some a good markets and facilities like other Uni's.

Great Place to Live. We bought a house here last year.
My kids are going to Our Lady of the Way in Petrie. The school is great and my family liked very much living in this area.
We never had any problems close to our house.
It is very close to Petrie express station, which is a great advantage and only 30 minutes to CBD from the express train.

"Best value suburb I have lived in."

Been in Kallangur for about 12 months. We absolutely love it. We live in a newer house in a bushy area. Plenty of parks and space. Could do with a few more places to eat out. Fantastic value for money to buy or ren . With the train line being built it will become so much more accessible to get to the city for next to nothing.

"Affordable, but get the right spot"

I grew up in Kallangur, and had a wonderful childhood. My husband and I are thinking of buying in the area because it is so affordable. However, there are certain areas to avoid, particularly the closer you get to the main strip on Anzac Avenue. There can be some pretty "wild" people living around there (some, but definitely not all!). It is close to everything - Redcliffe beaches, 40 mins to the Sunshine Coast, 45 mins to the city, shopping at North Lakes etc. The only problem is the lack of a good high school (unless you live closer to North Lakes) and the amount of townhouses going up in the area. Why they would want to put high density living in an area with no train station is beyond me. But overall, I enjoyed growing up in this suburb, and hope to buy my first home there fairly soon.

Over the last five years I have enjoyed living and working in Kallangur. I own two local businesses and also sell and manage a lot of property within the area. My two sons go to child care within the suburb and I have found ABC in Kallangur great to deal with. My sons will be going to North Lakes when they are older enough as the education system is a little more advanced and offer more than the local Kallangur public schools. If you ever need any real estate advice please feel free to call me any time:

"Has become very over-crowded!! VERY quickly...!!"

I grew up in Kallangur and spent the first 30 years of my life there, it used to be a beautiful place to call home almost perfect, but as time has past and money hungry developers have gotten into the picture it is now an over-crowded, noisy, bypass to Mango Hill / North Lakes which they have also distroyed.. Many of the properties in the original part of Kallangur are ex-Housing Commission properties. I miss the old Kallangur would never live there again now.. am glad I still have some photo's of our beautiful it used to be before they ruined it. Many wildlife lost their homes while the developers cleared the land and slapped up other buildings.

"Kallangur - home is where the heart is"

Kallangur is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of samford, close to the beach of redcliffe and bribie island. Its a suburb with every thing at your fingertips. Trains, buses, shopping centres, rural surrounds, the North Pine dam, pretty Petrie and a good mix of people. It has a diverse range of demographics, has a Westfield Shopping Centre and is an area of growth. It also has lots of natural habitat for wildlife - which should be protected, so if you move here and love this aspect, stand up and speak for it. It is not far from the city in non peak hour traffic in the car, but if you have to commute, use the train services. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic city life to give you that sense of isolation from it all when you get home of an evening.
I said I would never live on the northside, however, I will definitely shed a tear when I sell my little piece of peace. :)

Hi there i was wondering if anyone can elaberate more on schools in the area please. High schools and primary schools do you know if there are semi private schools in the area?. Or does anyone know where Bolte Cresent is and if you know if that is a good area to be in? Thank you

KM32

Hi! I'm not sure where Bolte Cres is, I'm sorry, but I may be able to help with schools. My siblings and I went to Undurba State School, which is just next door in Murrumba Downs. We absolutely loved it. My nephew goes there now, and it has such a lovely school culture, even though it is getting quite big. I don't know too much about Kallangur State School, except I have heard it is a little rough. You also have a choice of both state and private schools at North Lakes now, which are all brand new and have excellent facilites, and there is a private Lutheran school (name escapes me, sorry!) that goes from Prep to 12, also in Murrumba Downs and I've heard lovely things about that too! Hope this helps in some way.

Hi Hawaii99, Bolte Street is off Marsden Rd Kallangur. I currently manage a lot of properties within that area and in that street. The semi private schools you will have to look towards North Lakes and the new school in Murrumba Downs. I live locally myself and have two sons that are still in the child care system and will be attending North Lakes next year. If you need any more advice or help please feel free to give me a call.

Hi Jason, I just bought a lovely townhouse on Brickworks street. Given your real estate experience do you think the value of said townhouse and Kallangur overall would increase once the train station is operational? Is it a good area to invest in? It seems to get a lot of bad reviews from people

Hi Dion, Being An Elite Performer with over 550 sales in the local area within the last 4.5 years, being a local investor myself and currently managing over 480 properties today, I cannot see any growth within the Town House Market over the next 4 years as there is just an over supply. Hi Tracy, I would have to say 4 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms and a double lock up garage are the best investments to buy if you are looking for multiple applications. I would stay away from buys streets and take into consideration if the property you buy has ceiling fans, air conditioning, dish washer, side access, pool or a shed. My vacancy rates at the moment are 2.2% and I manage over 500 properties in the Moreton Bay Region. Hi Jason, I've noticed, that like many "reel" estate agents, your spelling is broken in many of your commments. Is this indicative of the advertisements you post for people advertising their properties with Ray White?
" I own investment properties in Kallangur and lived their for over 7 years"
"Mosquitoes are hear like any other region"

If somebody wants to list their property, their most prized possession, with your Ray White location, wouldn't they want a professional who can spell?
