Reviews of Kenthurst, NSW
"A beautiful place"
Kenthurst is a great place to live.We moved here years ago and have become so accustomed to the space and tranquility, that we find it hard to imagine ourselves living elsewhere. We moved here from suburbia and and love the feeling of being almost rural and yet only minutes from major roads and shopping centres.I have found that many of the property owners are all very well to do people of all nationalities. Its a great place to raise a family and even retire.I can only see property prices in Kenthurst soar as more and more people feel they need to make a tree change , yet remain so close in.

"Quiet, green, great for retirees"
Best child care in local community based preschool, but you have to book your kid in for years beforehand. Very difficult to get out of Kenthurst in the morning, with all the traffic and few buses, but then there lies the beauty of living there...it's quiet, safe and clean. We lived here for years before moving to nearby Castle Hill. In Kenthurst we often forgot to lock the front door, we never locked our car doors at night and everybody had time to stop and say hello on our walks. The kids grow up, though, and they will want to move somewhere more central with easy access to public transport. We also experienced bushfires and nearly lost our home. With both of us working full time, we also found the large property too high maintenance, taking up nearly all our weekends.

"Quiet Kenthurst"
Kenthurst, named after the English county, is a semi rural suburb in the north west of Sydney, 39 kilometres from the CBD. It is within the Hills District and part of the local government area of the Hills Shire. It is bounded by Glenorie to the north, Dural to the East, Glenhaven to the south and Annangrove to the west.
It has a population of just over 5000, a quarter of whom are under 18. Most of the blocks of land are 5 acres – just the right size for keeping a horse.
There is a small shopping centre with a supermarket, post office, real estate agent and some other shops. For school age children, there is a government primary school, a Catholic primary and secondary school, and the Hills Grammar School – an independent private school.
There are some high profile residents. They are Bec and Lleyton Hewitt, Don Burke, Greg Page of the Wiggles and Ray Hadley the radio talk show host. With all their other houses I would not think that Bec and Lleyton would spend much time there!
Kenthurst is a very quiet, peaceful part of Sydney to live in – a nice place to come home to after a busy day at work.
