"Just Beautiful!!"
I have lived in Lobethal for just under 8 years. My children and I love it. The schools are great, eating out is great and it has a wonderful atmosphere. The children feel so safe here, they can ride their bikes to friends houses without ever feeling frightened. The Lobethal lights festival is our favourite thing here. It is such an awsome atmosphere we always have a get-together with friends and celebrate too. Awsome place and will never leave, we love it here!!! 10 out of 10!!!

"A wonderful place to live"
As a previous resident of Lobethal (now living in Melb), my family enjoyed lovely friendships, wonderful neighbours and great facilities for a family. The primary school was only a short walk and the secondary school had a bus service. The supermarket is open 7 days a week with extended hours. It was not far to travel to the metropolitan Adelaide but far enough away to live in a village atmosphere. The lights of Lobethal was always exciting, although some planning was required if you needed to leave the town during this time. Still miss this great place.

"Noisy, locals are drunks and rude."
Would never allow my children to walk these streets even as teenagers. The locals are rude and drunks. The schools are something left to be desired, not anything special and not of a high standard. The Christmas lights and festival is just terrible!! There are drunks everywhere, the continual noise of cars, people yelling and worst of all we had a medical emergency and there was no way we could get out of the town, an ambulance was called and we still had to wait an hour and a half, as they could not even get through, then another 50 minutes trying to get out. This goes on for nearly a month over christmas. It was the worst years of our lives living in this town and will never recomend it to anyone thinking of purchasing a home there!!
Someone obviously who never lived in the hills. Cant afford to buy a home in the hills and is jealous of people enjoying the hills lifestyle. Or simply a troll. Verification of reviewers is important to make sure they actually live in the area to keep the ratings real.
Angelad. I don't think you have been to Lobethal, it is the complete opposite of what you are saying. Go get some counseling. Thankyou
"Quaint little town in the Adelaide Hills - but Xmas time is when it comes alive"
Lobethal is this beautiful little town in the Adelaide Hills, but at Xmas time, the locals pull out all strings to make ita tourist attraction for kids and big kids alike. Xmas lights and nativity displays are up all through the streets by the locals and at night time, it really is something to see. If you have kids, and are going near Lobethal just before Xmas, take the time to go and see the lights - they are awesome

"One of the best towns in the hills"
Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills has some great things to offer. There are some nice shops, the markets and some of the best craft beer you can get anywhere. Lets not forget Lobethal is home to a couple of simply amazing wineries.
The homes around Lobethal tend to be homes on a bit of acreage and there is a bit of a focus on wine and grazing.
Lobethal is one of my favourite places in the Hills to visit and it’s on my wish list for places to live.

"Lovely Hills Hamlet"
Lobethal is a pleasant 38km drive from the Adelaide City Business District and is known as the 'Valley of Praise' so named by German Settlers in 1842. It offers a relaxing rural lifestyle with all the conveniences of the city only 35 minutes away. Located in the the Adelaide Hills Council district and in particular near to the townships Charleston, Mt Torrens, Woodside, Lenswood, Balhannah, Oakbank, Cudlee Creek and Kenton Valley.
