76 and 82 Oakpark Drive, Chadstone. These two households are worth getting out of your car for! 82 has a garden you can walk around, and a large Santa statue with a lap to sit on. 76 has a UFO santa and music.
A block away is 37 Estelle St, Chadstone, with great laser effects.

Take a look at Santander Crescent, Point Cook. The whole street has Christmas lights and there is a double story house that has a synchorinsed light and music show each night from 8.30-10.30pm. Kids will love the lit characters and sleigh of toys on the roof of one house.

Friends told us of stunning Christmas Decorations someplace not far from our home in the Melbourne area, Melbourne, Florida, that is.
I performed a quick Google Search as I did not recall the exact location, and lo and behold, we found ourselves amidst Christmas Decorations, Spirit, and Cheer in your Melbourne, Australia. We wish we were there to view those displays.
We have placed a modest amount of small white lights strands in front of our home over variegated schefflera bushes. Some of the lights blink and some don't and some don't light at all. But, under nighttime skies and the North Star, "all lights are bright lights" as we used to say aboard ship in the Navy.

Does anybody know if the Boulevarde in Ivanhoe is still one of the best in Melbourne?

I went last year to Ivanhoe and it was still awesome!

does anyone remember in rowville they had a street blocked off from traffic and majority of the houses displaying lights were mansions.. 95 percent of the street got invovled.. it was the best id ever seen.. but I dont know if they do it anymore

The display in Beaumaris at 151 Dalgetty Road is amazing. This is the 7th year and there are moving animals, Santas's car, a huge 8m Christmas tree and visitors are invited to walk around the display to fully enjoy.

I also think Channel7 (TV) are having a Christmas lights competition - send in a movie link to your light show, etc and you could win something.

This is really starting to take off now - looking forward to seeing the Ivanhoe ones, this year :)

The street in Rowville with all the houses with lights was banned from doing this as the crowds it attracted caused due traffic congestion. Was a pity.

17 Fraser st Brunswick vic has a few solar lights in the front yard.. NOTHING to do with xmas at all.. what a waste of a drive that was!! Dont waste ur time folks!!

Hugo Court in Narre Warren is absolutely amazing! Every single house in the court is covered head to toe in lights and a variety of other Christmas decorations. Went down there with my family tonight and we were really lost for words. There's no way you can drive past it without wanting to stop, get out the car and have a good look around. My sister and father had a chat to one of the owners of the house and said it was a joint venture between all of the houses, which, to me, makes it all the better! The amount of effort these people have gone to is beyond words. So nice to see so many people joining together to really get in to the Christmas spirit :)

'Follow the Star' Christmas light display is at 275 Middleborough Road in Box Hill South. Our display is popular with families with small children as it opens from 7.30pm and is an indoor 'all weather' walk through display. We even have a cafe at the end of the display with a kids colouring in area and free coffee and hot chocolate for all. Our display opens from Wednesday Dec. 9th until Sunday Dec. 13th and then again from Wednesday Dec 16th until Saturday Dec. 19th.. each night from 7.30 till 10.30 and from 6.00pm till 9.30pm on the Sunday evening. 565 Nepean highway Frankston. House dances to 3 songs and lights are spread over four levels with a Agnes me to Christmas tree on top eating a radio into 88.1 FM so you can watch it on your car it really is magical

LMC Christmas Light show at Oxley College grounds in Chirnside Park has a must see display of 50,000+ lights all synchronized to music in a 40 minute lightshow extravaganza. Running 3 shows nightly from 9-11pm from Dec10th-24th. On site parking, cafe and amenities.

Roma Street in Bentleigh has stepped up this year. its only a small street in Bentleigh but many of the houses have lights on and really have put on the Christmas cheer.
