Where are the best brunch places in Melbourne?

Hi guys,

So every weekend I'm always racking my brain for a great breakfast to help start the day, so I want to start a thread with all the very best breakfast places to eat in ALL OF Melbourne. I have been to MANY places, but am always on the lookout for new places. SO here's my two recent favourites:

Cafe Lafayette in Port Melbourne
Can always get a table, a nice cruise cafe.
55 Beach St Port Melbourne
PH: 9078 9808

The Pantry in Brighton
Always busy, but I cannot find anything on the menu I don't like. There's also a great little deli attached that has all the pasta's, sauces, meats and bread you can think of. AMAZING!

1 Church Street, Brighton
PH: 9591 0393

Two of my fav's at the moment, what's yours?

AJ

I'm a total brunch addict. Some of my favourite spots in the brunch/ cafe capital of Melbourne (Fitzroy!) for smashed avo and poached eggs include-

Industry Beans- https://industrybeans.com/
Lune Crossanterie- Mouth-watering pan au chocolat https://www.lunecroissanterie.com/
Rustica- For the best bread! http://rusticasourdough.com.au/
Addict- https://www.instagram.com/addictfoodandcoffee/?hl=en
Grace cafe- http://gracefitzroy.com/
Breakfast Thieves- http://www.breakfastthieves.com/about-breakfast-thieves-au
Sir Charles- https://www.sircharlesfitzroy.com.au/
Pavlov's Duck- Try the hoppers (a traditional Sri Lanken pancake) https://www.zomato.com/melbourne/pavlovs-duck-fitzroy

So many options!

Caffé Uffizi is a personal favourite located in Caulfield North on the corner of Hawthorn and Balaclava Road.

Nicely located with Caulfield Park directly across the road (perfect for any takeaway options), they use fresh, local ingredients and breakfast/brunch is a specialty of the head chef.

Would 100% recommend if ever in the area.

I'm renting out in Glen Iris and the best places I've discovered locally for brunch are The Baker's Wife (huge warehouse-style space try the crumpets!), Mr Foxx, Where is Henry, Platform Espresso, Baba Sus (there can be lines on the weekend but their incredible egg waffles are well worth the wait), My Other Brother and Juno & May. Enjoy!

Looking for a home in Melbourne (CBD), VIC 3000

I've never had a bad meal at Top Paddock in Richmond. The vibe and food at Babble cafe in Prahran is good too, have the 'Chapel street hangover' after a big night out.
The ocean views from The Baths in Middle Brighton cafe is a nice start to the day, they make a mean scrambled eggs & tasty corn fritters.

Mitcham in the Eastern suburbs has a hot little strip of cafes in Britannia Mall - Dark Horse on the Brit is my top pick.

The Boatbuilders Yard in Docklands may be most peoples pick for a pint in the sun.... but they do a killer brunch too!
My favourite was their pumpkin baked egg with goat's curd.... droooool

Also tucked away in South Melbourne is St Ali - great coffee

If you're feeling a day trip to Phillip Island head to Waterboy Cafe for their ricotta pancake mmmmm

I've also discovered some new ones, I really like Serotonin cafe in Burnley, lots of great vegan options as well as your standard bacon and eggs options. Also The Kettle Black in South Melbourne is a fantastic option, although sometimes very busy.
