Reviews of Mount Coolum, QLD
"How long does it take to climb Mount Coolum."
The sign at the beginning of the track suggest to allow 2 hours. The trip can be done in around a hour for a reasonably fit person. Take some water but don't leave late in the day as there is no lighting on the track and is very steep in parts. The track can get busy.

"Friendly coastal Town"
The suburb I am lucky enough to call home, you will find me regularly down Mount Coolum Golf Course or at the Daily Dose Café. The suburb where everyone knows everyone, there is a real sense of community. I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else.

"Mount Coolum Track"
The new track to climb Mt Coolum is most impressive with stairs all the way. The improved track really is excellent and a great way to start the day. The views are super impressive from the top and a must for any visitor to the area.

"Mount Coolum - Great views from the top and great place to be at the bottom."
Mount Coolum is on the Sunshine Coast between Noosa and Maroochydore. Mount Coolum is a volcanic dome that stands 208 meters in height and takes a minimum of 3 hours round trip to walk but the views are well worth it. The town of MT Coolum offers good shopping for essential items and is close to the major shopping of Maroochydore. Explore the hinterland or enjoy the great long stretching beach which offers good surfing and body boarding. Mt Coolum public golf course is a great walk and you get to see quite a bit of wildlife even if your game is not the best on the day. There is good accommodation options for the visitor but property prices are beginning to take off as this part of the coast expands.

Oh! Must check it out next time we are there. Don't know how many times I've climbed that mountain, both from the back and the front. Hard work! Stairs would certainly help, especially at this time of life! :-)
