Most of Pilsen is pretty safe. There are some areas in the northern section of Pilsen that have higher crime statistics - but most of the crimes are misdemeanors.

It isn't as nice or safe, but Pilsen seems similar to Wicker Park. They're both youthful and have an artistic quality that's great.
