Reviews of Silverwater, NSW
"An undiscovered residential pocket, close to everywhere."
I bought here in 2011, a brand new development off the plan. I hadn't considered Silverwater as I assumed it was all commercial, however there is a quiet residential pocket of several blocks. The housing is a mix of freestanding houses, apartments and townhouses. There is a bit of gentrification going on with knock down re-builds happening and new boutique developments. Some recent include much needed retail spaces like cafes, hairdressers, etc. There are a number of parks including an Off Leash dog park. There are a lot of families and diversity of cultures. The best thing is how quickly you can be in any part of Sydney, it is close to the M4 and Homebush Bay Drive. I can be in the city in 20min (in good traffic), Top Ryde in 10 minutes, Macquarie park in 15 minutes and Parramatta in 10 minutes. If you haven't thought about this suburb, it's worth a look.
