Reviews of Spring Hill, QLD
"Spring Hill is an inner-city suburb"
Spring Hill is an inner-city suburb located just north of Brisbane's central business district. Its prime location provides residents with unparalleled access to urban amenities, employment opportunities, and entertainment options. Commuting to the city is incredibly convenient, with many residents choosing to walk or cycle to work. Additionally, public transportation options, including buses and trains, are readily available for those needing to travel further. The suburb's close proximity to major arterial roads such as the Inner City Bypass and the Riverside Expressway also ensures easy access to other parts of Brisbane and beyond. Very historical suburb - Opera in the original water reservoir that used to service Brisbane when first established, Spring Hill Baths and plenty of Queenslander Houses providing that old meets new fill. Private schools, such as Brisbane Grammar & St Josephs. Easy commute to working in the City. Despite its urban setting, Spring Hill offers residents several green spaces where they can relax and unwind. Victoria Park, located just south of Spring Hill, features vast green lawns, walking tracks, and picnic areas with stunning views of the city skyline. Additionally, Roma Street Parkland, with its lush gardens and tranquil water features, provides an oasis of calm amidst the bustling city. Residents can enjoy leisurely strolls, picnics, and outdoor activities in these beautiful parks just minutes away from their doorstep. Spring Hill boasts a vibrant culinary scene with an array of restaurants, cafes, and eateries offering diverse cuisines to suit every taste and budget. From trendy cafes serving specialty coffee and brunch fare to fine dining establishments showcasing innovative Australian cuisine, Spring Hill - has a vibrant South American community - plenty of salsa dancing in the suburb. Spring Hill, QLD 4000, offers residents a vibrant inner-city lifestyle with its proximity to the city, beautiful parks, and diverse dining options.

"Fallen in love...."
I have been a resident and also a Property Manager in Spring Hill for the past 12 months.
I have fallen in love....
I have always lived in the southern suburbs and now that I have had a taste of innercity there is no going back.
The great thing about Spring Hill is that there is always something going on there is such a massive range of people. You have a little run down cottage on your left and a million dollar prestige property on your right.
I can sit out on my front balcony with a glass of wine and watch as people walk by. Office people, families, trendies, people walking their dog, runners/joggers/walkers and then a bit of an off one... very entertaining. Then on Sunday afternoon I can sit out in the back courtyard... again with wine.... and listen to the dance class happening at the Hall at the park. Bliss
Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, Pubs, Parks and Shops are all at your finger tips.
Spring Hill is certainly not for the faint hearted but certainly an amazing place to live!

"why arent there some more cool restaurants in spring hill?"
i love spring hill but we need more funky restaurants. this is the best place in Australia - a $5 cab fare to the valley and the city but i want more restaurants here. Park Street is a good street - we live on Water Street. I go up Park street to the gym. What a beautiful little street.

Yes, if Spring Hill had more cool restaurants and coffee shops, it would certainly change the demographics of the place. But in order for this to happen, more places need to be "created" to accommodate these changes. The smallness of Spring Hill is both its charm and negative.
"there is no where else in Australia so close to a metro CBD that is so affordable"
everything is so close. we lived in a quiet street in a beautiful home and now that we are back in Queensland we are trying to find another home in Spring Hill again.

"Spring Hill has Sprung"
Spring Hill is one of my favourite suburbs in Brisneyland. It's sandwiched (in a good way) between the city and Fortitude Valley and kind of personifies what's great about both of them. It has the high class feel and socio-economic demographic of owner residents, while maintaining it's hip street cred with gay and lesbian bars, excellent restaurants, funky shops and the cutest little workers cottages. Raised higher than the CBD (Thus the HILL part of the name) it is often cooler than the city and gets some great views. There are some fantastic hotels in the area for example, The Watermark, if you're planning on visiting. House prices are astronomical, as you'd well expect, but your return is pretty much guaranteed. An excellent suburb, in the heart of things, but still with heart.
