Reviews of Ansons Bay, TAS
"Ansons Bay, East Coast Tasmania"
Ansons Bay is one of the most tranquil, amazing places that you'll find on the East Coast of Tasmania. Wildlife is in abundance with regular visits from the resident echidnas, wombats and a vast array of bird life. The water is crystal clear, the air is clean, the weather is great and the people are extremely friendly.

"A Sleepy Fisherman's Paradise"
Ansons Bay is a small fishing village approx 45 minutes north of St Helens or 40 minutes east of Scottsdale. Primarily positioned on the Ansons River, many homes are absolute riverfront with the ones in Casuarina Lane always popular. Many of the properties are original fishing shacks and are relatively small, but there is a growing number of newer and extended homes popping up.
The closest shop is at Gladstone around 20 minutes away - a small servo, takeaway and minimart. There is also a hotel at Gladstone. St Helens and Scottsdale are the closest towns for larger supermarkets, doctors, hospitals, schools etc.
If you want to get away from it all - very literally - Ansons Bay has peace and quiet in spades.
