Reviews of Balgal Beach, QLD
"Great long sandy beach walks, best at low tide."
Long beach walks
Clean beach
Sandy
45 mins away from the craziness and crime of Townsville. Quiet, loads of bird and animal life.
"Very peacful area"
We live in the Mystic Sands end where we have a weekend retreat.... short walk to the beach, little noise and very reasonable priced housing is still available, a place where you can still buy a block of land cheap and develop yourself a retirement home.
Now this wont appeal to the young but it will to the middle age as it is truely a place to relax.
We walk the 250m to the beach and sit and watch the waves roll in. A little fishing and a glass of wine... what more do you want - no crime... you guessed it, we have that also...
Down at Balgal proper there is a nice boat ramp and everyone is freindly....
The fishermans landing is alway a good spot for Friday night feed and a chat and a beer without any mugs to spoil it for you...
Golf is a good past time also if you want to keep active or just have a hit....golf buggys can be purchased and licensed for the road also to make it that much easier (Mystic sands end for sure)
sssssh dont tell anyone as this is a special place.
Signed: Happy as ever....
