We have lived here for 10 years now with our three young kids. Very safe, friendly neighbourhood, great views and sunsets, fresh air close to all amenities hospital, university, ASMS school, bus stop, Marion shopping Centre, restaurants, playgrounds, walking tracks to the gorge and the list goes on and on.
Very popular with students and hospital staff, never had any problems. Nice little secret tucked away in the hills especially south Bedford Park.if you are on the hill you get the views if you are on the flat area you have the gorgeous Sturt creek and the reserve, and the playground for kids and great for pets. With the new developments even the train station is coming to Flinders hospital. I know some houses have breathtaking views. The place has a very good feel about it.

Opposite the hospital is the best part of the suburb. A one way traffic means it is quiet and isolated from the South Road rush. Close to transport, hospitals and marion shopping centre. Good public transport to the city and airport. Excellent suburb for kids and pets with plenty of open parks. Property values have appreciated recently and rents have gone up with students moving in.

Bought our place in Franklin avenue in November 2009, and have enjoyed every minute of being here. Plenty of places to take the dog for a throw of the ball and easy access to walking and bike tracks behind Flinders Uni. Even the local takeaways eg Kartees Indian and Ping Pong do really good cheap food and staff are very friendly. We know most people in the street and feel safe with every neighbour looking out for one another. Love the place!
