Reviews of Biggera Waters, QLD
"Depends"
I lived there for a few years. There are some dodgy homes and low class/no class citizens that can ruin it for everyone else. Saying that, we lived in a beautiful part of BW, where the homes were all lovely and we generally felt safe there. Was a very close walk to everything - shops, transport, parks and beaches. I looked and moved elsewhere though, a little more safe, as my family started to grow. Seems to be more fitting for young couples or singles.

"Great location, reasonably afordable"
We are a young couple living on Brighton Street. It is a great area, haven't had any noise or safety issues, however some houses are dodgy. We are a close walk to cafe's and shops nearby. We pay affordable rent, and within 15mins of at least 5 different shopping centers. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good location, out of the hustle-bustle, still affordable and within close proximity to amenities.

"Patchy pockets of good and bad"
Family members lived here in the past various good and bad but mainly became a 2 out of 5 star experience.
Views outdoor spaces are great,
Safety at times, lack of crossings and lights in streets. Lack of cafes etc.

"A little piece of Heaven on Earth"
We moved here a few years ago and it's been fantastic.
Unbeatable lifestyle, close to the CBD, close to all theme parks, easy to get to Brisbane, the amazing Broadwater right on your doorstep, fair property prices, fantastic public schools (Biggera waters State School) and Southport State In-dependant just 4km away.

"A Coastal Lifestyle in Biggera Waters"
Gazing across the Broadwater late one afternoon, I was reminded why our family chooses to live here. The water! For locals living in Biggera Waters being near the water can mean so many different things. Casting a line from the foreshore, having a go at kite surfing, a kayak treck or a Sunday spent sailing.
Besides the obvious water based pursuits, we also have stunning walking and bike tracks, beautiful beaches and of course Harbourtown. There is just so much to choose from in or around Biggera Waters.

"Beach lifestyle without the noise!"
Biggera Waters demand has increased dramatically this year. Many developers seeking out older style homes on large blocks to create units and townhouses, buyers cannot get enough of the area. Being so close to major shopping centres and right on the beach and canals residents enjoy all the facilities at their door stop. Many residents saying they would never move no matter what price the market rose to.

"Excellent views and very affordable"
Although a modest-sized suburb, Biggera Waters is very picturesque and offers buyers a variety of real estate from waterfront units to family homes and duplexes.
Situated on the edge of the Broadwater, Biggera Waters is located just north of the suburb of Labrador. Biggera Creek flows through the middle of the suburb and a point of land at the mouth of the creek is known as Lands End. The land north of Labrador was subdivided in the 19th century and a number of farming and fishing families made their home there.
In recent years Biggera Waters has benefited tremendously from the soaring prices in the neighbouring suburbs of Runaway Bay, Southport and Labrador, resulting in higher prices in these areas having a flow on effect.
Bordered by the Gold Coast Highway to the south, Biggera Waters is a well positioned locality offering buyers easy access to the Coast’s major shopping centres and attractions.
Biggera Waters’ continued growth can also be attributed to the ongoing promotion of Harbour Town, located within the suburb’s borders. The outlet shopping centre has attracted substantial interest to the area. Agents are now reporting an increase in young families and couples moving in and settling in the suburb.
The renovation wave has hit Biggera Waters with many cottage-look timber beach homes being bought and renovated rather than knocked down to build investment duplexes. With no new developments in the area and demand still strong for coastal properties, an older beach home is proving an excellent investment for those willing to put some time into renovations.
