Reviews of Bongaree, QLD
"Beautiful township, growing lifestyle"
Bongaree is really growing to have all the things you need. Cafe's, restaurants, beautiful seaside parks & pathways. There is the stunning waters of the Passage & Bay, clear & deep for a swim. Lets see, you have a nice supermarket/shopping centre not far away & theres the nature reserve at Buckleys Hole, beautiful for birdwatching.
I have lived here on & off in between other places and I'm impressed with the growth. Only downfall of course is the increased traffic on weekends and the bridge, but otherwise, once you are on the island, why leave?

"Fantastic Place To Live and Enjoy"
Waterside parks; Restaurants; Cafes; RSL; Lawn Bowls; Shopping; Caravan Park; Historic Jetty; Weekend markets; Fishing; Swimming; Boating; Dog friendly Red Beach; National parks; Library; Museum. Which box does Bongaree 'not' tick. Anyone who has anything negative to say about this ideal location, is just down right envious, and so they should be.

"Olde Bongaree"
I love the relaxed and old school lifestyle of Bongaree.
Living near the water and away from the busier end of Bribie makes for a beautiful quiet life with great neighbours and lovely gardens.
I would recommend anyone who is thinking of living on Bribie to consider the suburb of Bongaree near the Red Beach end as a great place to raise a family.
The water is only a 5 min walk which allows you access to great fishing, swimming and sailing.
If you like to ride your bike the island is relatively flat and offers great views from all sides.
It truly is an idyllic lifestyle for all....
half way between Brisbane and the Sunshine coast it offers the best of both worlds so come to Bribie enjoy the sea air, the sporting community and the lovely people

The houses are way overpriced and not looked after, generally speaking. There are far too many Real estate Agents there for the amount of reasonable homes for sale, and it seems to give vendors a false view of the actual "value" of them. The waterways and surf beaches are among the best anywhere, but there are few shops and no decent places to eat or be entertained. It you have 700k, you can live at Banksia, but just because the BCF boss say's it's great.. He would do or say anything for a buck...
