"A Strong sense of Community"

If you love a Rural setting, country lifestyle, boasting beautiful acreage properties then look no further. A real sense of community comes together once-a-year for the Brookie Show and what a fabulous event it is. The Showgrounds are also blessed by the very popular local store, which is a cut above. Schools, Transport, Parks etc, everyone loves living is this green tranquil acreage environment with convenience of living close to the city. Explore and you'll fall in love!

Looking at purchasing in Brookfield, however my Husband has done an internet check and the speeds are not fast. Can you get fast Internet speeds. Telstra couldnt give an accurate speed due not having a current connection.

Looking for a home in Brookfield?

"Rural beauty at Brisbane's doorstep"

Brookfield, home to the Brookfield Show, is a leafy and peaceful suburb about 14km from Brisbane CBD. Renowned for its rural atmosphere, great views and those million dollar acreage properties, Brookfield is still readily accessible by car within 20min or less from Brisbane CBD or conveniently by bus. The expansion of shopping and restaurant precincts in Indooroopilly (approx. 10 min drive) and Kenmore (approx. 5 min Drive) has benefited the suburb. If you live here you are sure to find out that it is brilliant to come back to the peace and quiet away from the rat-race at the end of the day.
Brookfield is considered a very safe suburb and, with ample open and green space available, it is great for families with young children as well. The opening of the Legacy Way Tunnel has massively eased the congestion on the previously heavily trafficked Moggill Road and traffic at peak time on the Western Freeway inbound has all but vanished thus making living in Brookfield more attractive than ever before. Brookfield is now probably the only suburb where rural acreage life could be enjoyed yet be at the door step of Brisbane City.

There are however some drawbacks as always. The properties are generally expensive (as expected) and although ADSL broadband is available from Brookfield exchange, the ability for expansion in this exchange is limited. There are reports that not everyone in the area can obtain satisfactory broadband internet. Furthermore, the more remote properties appear to have issues with mobile reception from most carriers. On the plus side though, the TV reception is quite good!

Come for a drive through or a day out and enjoy the beautiful and laid back rural life Brookfield has to offer.

"Best place on Earth"

Have lived in Brookfield for 15years. Wonderful when the children were growing up. Now that they have left home we can't imagine changing. We love and value above all else the peace, quiet and safety. People are friendly and warm and we have the sense of belonging and community that having the village inspires. It ties us together. I wonder how often we all stop and think about how priveleged we really are to live here. Even our children are making their way back. First inner city , now Kenmore, its only a matter of time.

If anybody needs convincing about Brookfield's beauty, drive to the top of either Nioka or Roysten sts and look at the vista before you. Brookie lover.
