Close to everything you might need, like beach and shopping centre, but still quite and safe. The sound of the ocean will lull you to sleep every night! Wonderful neighborhood.

Young surfers' perch, drug and alcohol issue emerges, you don't have to live next to the beach, there's a lot of overpraised places, which actually have totally nothing but a boring view of beach.

Having travelled far and wide I feel confident saying that the combination of a peaceful residential feel with such amazing on-the-doorstep beaches, walkways, parks, marina, walking distance shopping facilities, tennis courts, surf club etc etc is a very rare and insufficiently appreciated combination!

Surf beach 5 minutes 1 way, protected beach, park fishing jetty 5 minutes the other way. Boat ramp and exercise equipment are also a bonus. Further up the road a large shopping center with future cinemas, as well as surf club and hotel. Many restaurants are also dotted around the place.
The parks are clean and safe with great views from Pt Cartwright.
I have had 4 kids go through the local school, all with good results. A good area for bringing up a young family or for anyone who likes beach or fishing or walking/bike paths.

Wonderful place to live. I work in Brisbane and get home lunchtime friday and Leave the car keys in the drawer until monday. The morning cup of tea is still too hot to drink when u do the first light surf check. The local Kids have no idea that 95% of people in australia do not have the beach up the road, the river down the road and shopping centre and surf club, just a push bike ride away. surf out the front mostly, when the swell and wind is up we surf at Point cartwright- fantastic point break- 5min pushy ride. Excellent Fishing options also in the river or beach.

Buddina is right between the Beach and the Marina with fabulous parks and walkways with miles of perfect beaches with Point Cartwright Parks.
