Reviews of Camira, QLD
"South West's Shangri-La ..."
We have just bought a home in Camira having lived in the Rocklea Market and Salisbury area over the past 3 years. Seeing the Housing Market ignite in the last 12 months and prices soar in the inner ring ( 15k to CBD ) areas - good properties and value for money have become tougher to realize. Digging in to what remains affordable outside the inner ring leaves a string of less inspired choices all the way to Bellbird Park. Early comparisons with surrounding areas pinpointed Camira as an absolute diamond on the cusp of serious future growth. Advantages in Demographics show Camira to have an average 4% Public Housing - compared to Inala, Goodna and others nearby which are almost 80%. Camira is possessed of a majority of Traditional Anglo Australian residents who are in the main owner occupiers - with a low Renter percentage. Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian and other ethnic groups seek to cluster together in Suburbs for reasons of familiarity and Community - and it is no different for Anglo Australians where this too may be a desirable aspect when choosing where they live - Camira is such a place. The Median house price is on the rise in this area and a quick search of the Qld Police Statistics shows an almost non existent Crime rate. Camira is extremely leafy, has creeks, parkland, schools and Birdlife all in abundance and nearby. With huge blocks ... our property at nearly 800sq's ... this is a Suburb to raise a family, with big peaceful blocks, quiet streets, only 25 mins to the CBD. With Homes selling for nearly 600K in Inala ... why would anyone overlook Camira for the same money with all it has to offer by comparison? We found our Shangri-La ...

"Only 25km from Brisbane"
What a hidden gem of a suburb! With older homes and big back yards and a median rent of $365 per week this is a really affordable area for families. Access to schools and highway make it very convenient. The closest shopping area is the Springfield Coles or Goodna Woolworths or larger shops at the Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre. with large blocks of land this area is quickly being snapped up by young couples wanting a bit of open space to start and grow families.
If you need any more information on the area, I am happy to help!

"A tucked away leafy suburb between Goodna and Springfield Lakes"
Lived here nearly 5yrs and no problems. The birdlife is amazing including super friendly kookaburras. The land size is 650sq min. Anything up to 1300sq. Older style homes but well kept and with character. And every home looks different! Wide streets , young families and some elderly couples and has all the essential amenities nearby including hotels restaurants shopping centre and a major shopping centre ony 8 minutes away. Nearest Post Office is Gailles only a few mins away. Land size way bigger than Springfield (400sq)but cheaper. For families Camira would be my choice. Parks and transport schools and child care, community centre as well. Lakes and public pools within 10mins drive!

"Camira Brisbane"
It all depends on the person and their needs or wants, the positives: Cheaper housing and big blocks. But cheaper housing can come with other problems. Again if your from inner city areas with lots of good quality restaurants, cafe's , delicatessens, nightlife and wine bars and you enjoy having that at your door step it may not be the place for you as it's either expensive to Uber into the city or long and painful on the train. If your a homebody and don't need these things at your doorstop and your looking for a cheap home to get your foot in the door then it may be a consideration for you. Although crime is everywhere there are a high number of juveniles that steel cars and perform break and enters, in fact we were here a week and someone had stolen a Christmas card out of our letterbox looking for money and dumped the card in the side of our yard, I have never lived somewhere before where I had to put a padlock on my letterbox. I would read lots of reviews and spend some time looking around the area and check out the local shopping center is always helpful before purchasing in case of regrets.

"Best Kept secret, all the benefits of Springfield at less cost and larger blocks."
I've live here for 6yrs. The opening of the rail station that means you can get to the CBD in 30mins if you get an express train. There are heaps of recreational options that are only going to increase over the coming years as springfield and Augustine Heights grow. Heaps of medical centres that bulk bill, most specialists however are in Ipswich. If you're into Blues music then you have hit the jackpot. The Royal Mail Goodna is a couple of klms away & there is never a cover charge. What I love about it is that the bands start early and finish early. You can have a massive night out and be home to watch the 8.30 movie on the TV. If you are into dining out there are heaps of restaurant at Orion and quite a few in Camira though they are not open long hours. Awesome Indian and Thai food. Excellent choice of

"Great place to buy and with big blocks of land"
I've lived in Camira for over 2 years now and I'm loving it. I know the area very well, having lived in Goodna and Bellbird Park most of my life. Camira is seen as upper class when compared to the surrounding suburbs. Springfield Lakes has helped lift prices a lot over the past decade but as the average size block is only 400sq, Camira will be seen as the better option for people looking for more land value and space. Quite streets, great people, buses running throughout most of the streets, parks and a bushy feel due to the abundant gum trees and open spaces. What more could you ask for?

"The best place to live in QLD"
Camira is a beautiful area and central to Mt Omany, Riverlinks, Grand Plaza and Orion shopping centres and so you have only have 5 10 mins drive to any one of these great sites. While living in a green, clean and friendly and quite environment. Petrol stations are nearby along with great take-aways and convenince stores. Great medical services at nearby Springfield, along with Coles shopping and resturants.

"A great place to live for those you enjoy peace and quiet, close to everything and affordable living"
I have lived in Camira and currently work in the area for Ray White Redbank Plains/Goodna, Camira has always been the place to be from a local’s point of view and with schools close by and only minutes from the new Orion shopping centre you are never too far from amenities.
Camira has a diverse availability of homes ranging from small house allotments to large acreage
This is one suburb you will enjoy calling home…..

"Great place surrounded by lovely bushland and creeks"
Welcome to Camira a quiet suburb in the city of Ipswich. Camira has nine parks including a sporting fields, complete with gazebos and picnic facilities. With its very own primary school, Scouts, local specialty stores plus a Caltex, Camira retains its bushland feel, surrounded by bush. If you look closely, Camira certainly ticks all the boxes of a great suburb
