Reviews of Clarendon, SA
"Only pass through if you have to"
Small town with a handlful of stores with the main ones being the post office, bakery and the pub. It has a parkland area for any social outing with family or friends with access to a public BBQ, outside tables and benches and toilets.
Whilst the town as a few things on offer for a traveler, the place suffers from a variety of issues. Footpaths have excessive debris and plants have overgrown above the areas indicating no one walks there nor is actively maintaining it. Some homes along the main road are derelict with gardens being overgrown and fences falling apart just to name a few. Not a good look for anyone passing by however that being said the general atmosphere of the place is a place of carelessness and little to no standards and with it attracts unwanted folk passing through. Parking is also not an easy feat with the lack of signage and few parking spaces. Would not recommend young families or anyone with standards to stop by until conditions improve.
"Very pretty small town at the south of the Adelaide Hills"
Right in the middle of a great wine region, Clarendon has some nice wineries that are often used for Wedding Receptions. One of my mates got married in one of these wineries, and I highly recommend visiting not only Clarendon, but the entire McLaren Vale wine region
