"Family living on the beautiful bayside"

Great town with everything on your doorstep. From Raby Bay with it's excellent choice of eateries at all prices, and great family atmosphere, to the wide open green spaces, wildlife, and easy access to the bay and North Stradbroke island. Regular train and bus links to Brisbane, which is only a 30 minute drive of a weekend, combined with an excellent choice of good state and private schools. Bustling Sunday market selling local fresh produce too. Very convenient location and great place to live.

Great for

  • Friendly neighbours
  • Great amenities
  • Marina with restaurants and bars

Not great for

  • Rush hour traffic

"Historical township"

Cleveland is the main 'coastal' town in the Redland City region, east of Brisbane.
This suburb was surveyed as a township in the mid 1800's including wide streets and nature strips still present today. Cleveland offers a wide range of property styles and has a mid-sized shopping precinct. In recent years the suburb has seen a number of multi-storey residential units being built. Vehicle barges and ferries carry passengers to an from the picturesque North Stradbroke Island to the east.

"“Live where others Holiday Part One”"

Come, join us in this idyllic relaxed bayside community.
With waterside seafood dining at the Lighthouse, the heritage listed Courthouse, the diversity of dining choices on Raby Bay Harbour or enjoy the view from the famous aptly named Grand View Hotel. Enjoy the local produce and crafts each Sunday at the Cleveland Markets. Watch the amazing sunrises over the bay. Moor your boat in the marina a short stroll from town centre.

"Central to everything"

The main shopping centre serves majority of the residents.

Raby Bay Marina offers fantastic dining experience and entertainment. Train station is great for the daily commuting to Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Locals enjoy visiting the Lighthouse cafe and restaurant, Courthouse restaurant and the RSL.

North of Cleveland features canal living at its best in the exclusive premier Raby Bay neighbourhood.

Demographic of people living here is mainly retirees, young families and people in their 40’s.

"One of the best streets in Australia!"

Compass Court was completed in the mid-1980s as part of the first stage of the prestigious Raby Bay Canal Estate and is located closer to all the local conveniences than other streets in Raby Bay. There are a dozen fantastic harbour side restaurants an easy 3 minute stroll from our front door at number 6 Compass Court and a 5 minute walk to the town centre of Cleveland or the train station for commuting to the Brisbane CBD (approx. 50 min trip). Being a cul-de-sac means only local traffic uses the street. Homes and gardens are well established and many have been renovated in recent times. Neighbours are friendly and there are always neighbourhood parties and BBQs around Christmas which is lovely.

Wide paved footpaths lead you on a 10 min walk with the dog to the Raby Bay Foreshore Park with its off-leash dog friendly beach and many acres of parklands. There are playgrounds for the kids, lots of shady trees, picnic shelters with BBQs for family celebrations and amenities so you can stay all day if you choose. There are several sandy beaches protected by rock groins so swimming, sun bathing and fishing are all popular activities. A canoe and paddle board hire business and coffee van are on site most days. Sea views from the park to the north go on forever and the cooling sea breezes make for a wonderfully relaxing visit.

A northerly aspect is the most desirable in this area for shelter from hot summer sun and prevailing southeasterly winds while allowing warm winter sun and light in when it is most welcome. 6 Compass Court faces north to the water at the rear where a deepwater canal provides the ideal boat mooring and direct access to the beautiful waters of Moreton Bay. There are no bridges so masted sailing boats are fully catered for. 6 Compass Court has a 10m long x 3m wide pontoon with good all tide access and no restrictions on beam or draft.

With everything we need for a relaxed and care-free lifestyle within easy reach of our doorstep AND with the boat at the backdoor ready to enjoy the sailing, fishing and boating adventures of Moreton Bay AND with SE Qld's long summers and mild winters, we think we have discovered one of the best streets in Australia!

"Growing way too fast!"

Cleveland used to be a nice little place but recently it has expanded way too fast and has lost its community spirit. I used to like when Cleveland was part of the Redlands Shire Council not Redlands City Council.

"Nice environement, very safe"

The one feeling you have when you go into clevelend is a really safe feeling and the smell of fresh sea breeze which comes through all year around.

Fairly affordable as the suburb is out a lot more from Brisbane City but a very beautiful clean area. One major plus is the fact that you don't have to worry about traffic, once you get closer to Brisbane City you will.

"Safe, quiet, family friendly"

We have recently moved to Cleveland after spending many years in a country town. It was an easy transition as traffic is minimal and it is a friendly and relaxed place to be. The neighbours in our current street are polite and easy to be near, and we have already met our new neighbour at the house we have bought and are yet to move in to. I find retailers to be friendly and helpful, the train line is handy, there are frequent buses as well, and overall, I find Cleveland to be an excellent place to live. Shopping is easy too, as one is very close to major shopping centres in the region. I highly recommend living here.
