Reviews of Coolah, NSW
"Car Trouble"
Second day into a road trip from Gatton to Uranquinty we pull into Coolah for lunch at the Black Stump Hotel. As we were reversing into the parking space the clutch decided it had had enough. Leigh's tyre and Mechanical were next door so we asked if they could have a look at it, Dan the head mechanic came straight away and confirmed it was the slave cylinder. They were able to get the parts delivered the next day to start the repair. Realising we were going to be here for a couple of days we rang The Black Stump Motel to see if they had any rooms available. Rebecca could not have been more accommodating and helpful. She even offered to pick us up with our luggage but Leigh's had already offered us a lend of a car to get all of our belongings to the motel.
For the three days we were here all of the locals made us feel welcome and were happy to have a chat with us. If our car hadn't broke down we would never have the chance to experience the friendliness and warm welcome this town gave us. Everyone was willing to offer help in any way they could.
For us, being stuck out beyond the Black Stump was an amazing experience. Thank you town of Coolah, you are amazing!!

"Wonderful Country Town"
Witness a scenic drive of farmland surrounding this small yet welcoming country town. Three streets are wide, with established trees and immediately you notice locals shopping and chatting- an immediate sense of community. Coolah is a wonderful country town and be sure to stop in at the bakery!
