Reviews of Cordeaux Heights, NSW
"Beauitiful and quiet."
Cordeaux Heights doesn’t have a great night life, shops or restaurants. However, if you’re after day care, primary school or high school down the road then you have it. There is a private Christian college (primary and secondary), public primary school as well as a few day cares. Small general store, Italian pizza restaurant and bottle shop on Derribong drive. Other than that, it’s a 15 min drive to Wollongong, or 5 to Figtree and Unanderra.
Formally a large farm, this suburb still has beautiful bush surroundings. Every morning you can hear native birds, and occasionally see wild deer. The main roads (Derribong and Booreea) there are large areas for street parking. I have never come across an un-manicured lawn or a property that is an eye saw.
Some streets do make an effort to have street bbq's etc... But there isn’t really a huge sense of community. There are a few properties available which have land. Busses run regularly to schools, but during the day you’re lucky to get a buss every hour and a half. The closest train station is a 5 min drive to Unanderra. Not a high traffic area at all. Never had any vandalism. A friend was robbed about two years ago, for the first and last time ever - they were the only I have ever heard of.
Great for quiet privacy as well as enjoying bush like surroundings.
