Reviews of Cornubia, QLD
"Leafy and Lovely"
Love living in Cornubia. Have now been here for almost 3 years after living in several other suburbs in inner city Brisbane and am so glad we stumbled upon this beautiful pocket. Close to the city, the coast and the bay without the noise and traffic. Nice houses on large blocks many with views of bushland. Neighbours are friendly and everyone takes pride in our lovely leafy suburb. There is a growing number of local cafes and eateries which have not disappointed and the plans to extend the bus way to include Cornubia will make this suburb even more accessible to the city.

"Amazing Suburb!"
We moved to Cornubia a couple years ago, after many years of living within inner city Brisbane suburbs. Cornubia far surpasses any other suburb we have lived in. The area is beautiful, the neighbourhood is lovely, and the suburb location is incredibly convenient. It is located between Brisbane City, Gold Coast, and Redland Bay.
The blocks are large, shopping is close, and public transport is decent. Travel to the Brisbane CBD is an easy 25min since the motorway is close, and the buses are also an option.
Cornubia has a relaxed feel that is far enough removed from the busy city, though still with convenience to everything. There are many options in terms of cafes, shopping, pubs, etc. It has multiple walking paths, bike paths, and parks. There are numerous great schools in the area and it is an amazing place to raise kids.
The neighbourhood is very safe and the community look out for each other. By far the best neighbourhood we have lived in!

"The best place to live in South East Qld."
I have lived in Cornubia for 20 years and have no intentions of moving, I moved here firstly for the location with Cornubia being in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and only a short drive to Redland Bay.
It did not take long to realise that Cornubia was a great place to live, a quiet leafy suburb that not many people know about and an amazing place to bring up your children with plenty of parks and some fantastic schools.
I highly recommend Cornubia as a place to live, Cornubia in my opinion is the premier suburb in the region.

"Beautiful, quiet and convenient with a great sense of community"
My family moved to Cornubia around a year ago after living in Brisbane for many years and then Shailer Park for a year and we just love it! The houses are mostly on very large blocks, so you get all the peace and quiet and space of a semi-rural environment combined with the convenience of city living. There are lots of great cafes and shops only a 2 minute drive away and its only an extra 15 minute drive on the freeway to go to Brisbane (and there is a great back way to drive during peak hour to avoid the freeway). We think the wonderful lifestyle is well worth the extra drive! The locals are very friendly and everyone maintains their properties well. There are lots of beautiful bike paths through the forest for children to ride on or just have a lovely stroll and enjoy the wildlife (we see wallabies, lorikeets, red king parrots on a daily basis). We love the fresh air and watching our kids be kids - running in the backyard and riding bikes on the quiet streets - a fantastic place for families, nature lovers or retirees. It is a lovely safe suburb (I checked all the crime stats before choosing to move to Logan) and neither we or our friends who live here have ever been broken into or had any problems. All in all, a fantastic place to live!

"Meh"
I looked at a few houses here as I was interested in buying something on a big block of land. The blocks here are all on a huge slope so you can live on a 2000m2 block of land but half of it is up hill and rocky. The traffic to get here in the afternoon is terrible and it's far away from everything....
I will second that.

"Quiet, leafy part of Logan, blocks are larger and the streets are safe."
I grew up in Cornubia, and then when I was 26 I bought my own house in Cornubia in the Riverlakes Estate (Logandale). I love it here, so many owner occupied houses, great neighbours, very safe streets and people really look after their houses and yards here. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

"Great for the growing family and people who travel alot!"
The best things about living in Cornubia and Shailer Park is the accessability to the main roads and motor ways! Its in the middle of everything!!!! Very nice place to live and very safe. The logan hyperdome doesnt have great shopping like garden city or Carindale but they do have the piazza that has awesome places to eat. THE SHOPPING CENTER IS BAD ON A THURSDAY NIGHT! all the young thugs from the lower logan area come and "hang out" causing it to be very hard to enjoy shopping, i will never take my kids shopping on a thursday night to the hyperdome. But lucky they dont hang around our streets!!!

I think you will find most shopping centres are the same. I recall seeing this at Chermside shops
Keep staying in Creastmead bud.
