Reviews of Croydon North, VIC
"Quiet, friendly, beautiful"
Beautiful suburb away from the hustle and bustle of inner Melbourne but still connected to the rest of the city. Gateway to the Yarra Valley and the picturesque Yarra River. Quiet and friendly community with good amenities and parks.

"Relatively young suburb ideal for families"
Based in outer eastern Melbourne, Croydon Hills is a relatively young suburb that has only been a residential location for 20 years. With over 5,000 residents, Croydon Hills is a good sized town best suited to families. The area boasts many parks, walking trails and native bushland as well as several churches, a community centre and a number of primary and secondary schools. Public transport is limited to buses, which link Croydon Hills with neighbouring towns such as Warrandyte, Wonga Park, Croydon North, Warranwood, Ringwood and Croydon.

"A good family area"
Parks, lakes and wildlife, this is a wonderful spot to be. There are a lot of parks and reserves making this a great spot for those that love a walk among the trees. It also has one of the best vibes you could find anywhere in Melbourne. But that’s because it has what I'm looking for.
Families will love the proximity to schools and kindergartens.
There is a Centro not far away so you can get everything you need without having to venture too far away.
Safe tree lined streets make it a great spot for kids, and you don't have to worry about your cats or dogs getting hit either.
It’s not going to be the ideal spot for young professionals or couples unless you like the quiet life and don't mind not having the restaurants, cafes and abundant nightlife you can get in other suburbs.

"A nice place to be with a bit for everyone."
A great suburb with a great feel to it.
The area is well serviced by public transport getting you to where you need to go. It’s not a bad commute to the city either if you work in the CBD.
There is the Chirnside Park Shopping complex not far away so if you can't get it around the corner, just take the next corner, it’s that close.
For families there are schools within walking distance and for those with younger children, there is childcare close by as well. This makes living here very convenient.
Safe streets and with parks close by make this a great family location.
But if you're looking for nightlife and masses of restaurants perhaps this isn't the spot for you.

"A Little Pocket Of Convenience"
Nestled between Plymouth Road and Yarra Road this quiet and undulating pocket is the gateway to the bush. Peaceful and winding, each court has its own personality and almost all of them are metres from a reserve. Although it is one of Melbourne's smaller little suburbs it has a vast amount of green, open space with 4 reserves and many little parks scattered around. They include Narr-Maen Reserve, Yarrunga Reserve, Candlebark Walk and Settlers Orchard Reserve. Croydon Hills Primary School and Luther College are the only school within the suburb, however Yarra Valley Grammer, Melbourne's Rudolf Steiner School, Warranwood Primary School and Yarra Road Primary School all abut the main Croydon Hills arterials.
A Telebus runs through Croydon Hills and a Connex bus service runs along Plymouth and Yarra Roads, Bemboka Rd, Narr-Maen Drive, Campaspe and Croydon Hills Drives.
McAdam Square, just across from Luther College, is close and Centro Croydon is a short drive or bus trip keeping everyone well serviced.
