Reviews of Currambine, WA
"SE quarter, between Shenton and Moore"
Nice area to live in, house's and blocks along the golf course are generous and generally well maintained. The 7 neighbors surrounding us have all lived in their houses 8 years plus. None of them renters.
I found the style of the houses nicer than many of the other options in nearby suburbs. E.g there are less houses with exposed brick inside, less tiles, and generally more expansive gardens.
Joondalup shops and hospital 5 min drive one direction, Currambine shops and theatre 2 mins drive the other. Beaches 5 mins drive. HBS within walking distance for kids sport on the weekends. Primary School 200m away. Two turns and we're onto the Mitchell, but are still at a distance that we can't hear it.
I think every suburb has their good pockets, with our $700k budget for a 4/2 home I feel we've outdone ourselves landing in this quadrant of Currambine.

"It is great !"
My hubby and I moved here seventeen years ago after selling our previous home in Doubleview.
We were both still working at the time and I had no problem commuting to the city for work via the very reliable train service. We love how Delamere Park has been established from native bush and scrub.
It’s a great spot for kids ( and grandkids) to play. The shopping centre has grown and we now have several doctors ‘ surgeries and dentists and X-ray services. Housing varies from apartments near the train station to large posh houses. Lovely to see more”3 x 2” houses near Delamere Park for those wanting smaller housing with less yards....great for downsizing, and working couples.
There is a reliable bus service to Joondalup and also to Burns Beach. Also love the new Community centre !

"Dull and boring suburb - although if you are British it's comforting to hear English spoken properly"
Perth and Currambine is bush, suburb, bush suburb. Everything looks the same and is soulless. No nice pubs and all the shopping centres have exactly the same shops and no independents. Fast food outlets on every corner of Perth (not necessarily Currambine)- no wonder there is obesity problems. The roads are good and minimum traffic but you feel like there is no life on earth in Currambine. Other than the weather and the ocean not much to write home about here I'm afraid.

"Peaceful, quiet, nice neighbourhood and fantastic location"
With many newly completed developments, such as the Michelle Freeway and widening of Shenton Ave, all these make this suburb super accessible. Furthermore, heap of facilities, such as Train Station, Schools, Joondalup Health Campus, Lakeside Shopping Mall (7 day and night shopping), Winton Commercial Shops, Arena, Banks, Library, Joondalup City, Burn Beach, Cinemas, Currambine Shopping Centre, Petrol Station, Golf Course, Fast Food outlets, ECU, etc, etc, etc. are only few minutes away. Relatively new, neat, clean and tidy and peaceful suburb. There are many beautiful houses at the fringe of Joondalup Golf course. What else can you ask for?

Not great for
- Undiscovered gem

Not sure were you get riddled with crime it has the same crime stats as Iluka which is some of the lowest in Perth, I not looking to argue it just a fact which can be checked on the state crime profiles
