"Yuck"
Dodgy looking area. I get off at North Wollongong station to go to UOW and the amount of bogans and sketchy people that get on or off around fairy meadow speaks volumes about the suburb. From another review on here it states that its dangerous, not suprised cause many streets here look run down as anything. I suspect its full of housing commission. You have to be careful around fairy meadow at night.

"Close to shops, beach, restaurants, pubs, transport, schools, tafe and UOW. Far enough away from the hussle and bustle of Wollongong city but a close bike ride or taxi fare to the city."

Central to everything- uni, town, innovation campus, shops, the beach, train line, freeway...
Cheaper than North Gong and still an easy walk to North Gong Pub

"Good little suburb"
Been living in this suburbs as renter (UoW student) and a home owner and also investor I must admit that this suburbs has many benefits for student and for family.
