"Hideaway ... Shhhh!"

A great suburb - we just dont want too many people to know about it! Quiet, unspoilt, and a stones throw from both city and beaches. Large plots of land and very family orientated. The perfect hideaway. Perfectly placed between Chatswood and Warringah Mall. Shhhhh keep it a secret!

"Tranquil Forestville"

Forestville is peaceful with great bird life and bush walks. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. It's a relatively safe neighbourhood to raise a family with close proximity to a variety of schools. Although there are decent places to dine and a few cafes to choose from, the ambiance is not trendy or stylish. None the less, it is close to Chatswood and positioned with easy access to beaches and the CBD should you want to venture out for more excitement.

"Hidden secret"

20mins from the city and 10mins from the beach. Great combination of local amenities, excellent city/chatswood bus service, national parks, sporting fields, schools, child care and fantastic neighbours.

The bridge is a perception of distance more than reality. For 30% less than the equivalent house on the Roseville side, there's a lot to love about Forestville.

"Great for Families!"

I know many families moving to Forestville from the lower North Shore. Property is definitely increasing in price but still affordable compared to the $000,000,000's being asked elsewhere. The local schools are great and the community spirit is fantastic. I would say that it is probably boring if you are a trendy, hip late teens/twenties but is is wonderful for families with kids.

"Killarney Heights - Great Community & Schools"

Both Forestville and Killarney Heights are on the same post code.

Killarney Heights is the most fantastic suburb to live in. The Community spirit in this suburb is great. The suburb has the most amazing pre school, primary school and high school. The area plays host to losts of sporting facilities with tennis, ovals, parks, dance centre and a great swimming centre.

There is a local shopping centre which has a small coffee shop, fruit & vege, convenience store & a japenese bakery - which is great for small supplies. You do need to go to Forestville Shops (a very short drive) to do the weekly shopping.

Given the main traffic into the area are locals it is a very safe area to bring up a family.

It is very central to everything the northern beaches has to offer - for shopping you have Chatswood and the Mall about 10-15 mins drive, beaches are 15mins away, a boat launching ramp 5 mins away, national park 5 mins away.

The suburbs only down fall is the public transport for working people. The Forest Coach Bus Service is a great service but given there is only limited services into Chatswood and the city there is a need to transfer buses at the main road.

Would recommend this suburb to any family or people wanting a warm, friendly community to live in.

"The Forestville Escape."

Forestville is versatile, appealing to all age groups. It is close to Chatswood Interchange (5min bus), which is excellent for students at private schools from Milsons Point to Wahroonga. Via Forest way, it is a scenic, uninterupted drive to St. Ives Shopping Village, same through the Forest to Warriewood Centro. It is close to the beach, and Club of The Year, 2010, DY RSL.For lovers of wildlife, there is a great variety of friendly native birds, lizards and possums, which make good little friends, and introduce children to wildlife conservation. Forestville is an area retaining wildlife well, ( WIRES is in Cook St.) The CBD is only 15mins away. No tolls, no tunnels. Driving home over the Roseville Bridge, the day's cares fade away, with Forestville standard time taking over. This is the place to be...

"The perfect suburb"

Forestville is perfect for families. It's quiet, safe and leafy. There are lots of sporting facilities and parks. The high school is the best on the northern beaches. It's central to everything you need - 10 minutes from the beaches, 15 minutes (or less!) from the city. Though retail therapy in Forestville itself is not great you have Chatswood 8 minutes away and the Mall not much further - how good is that! The same can be said for eating out. Willoughby is a stone's throw away and there are some great foods spots there. Public transport is actually very good compared to other areas of the Forest. The perfect suburb!
