Girraween is a fabulous place for families or those who love the peace & quiet. It is set amongst some beautiful scenery & most properties are small acreage 2.5-5 acres so you have your own space. It is also close to reserves & great horse or motorbike riding, fishing, camping & hunting spots. The Howard Springs shops are not too far away & have a Tavern, bakery, pizza place, doctors surgery, chemist, supermarket, news agency, post office & a petrol station close by. There is a child care centre along with Howard Springs Primary & Good Shepherd Lutheran School. The other side of Girraween would be closer to Girraween Primary & there is the larger Coolalinga Shopping Precinct which has a lot of specialist shops like saddlery, hairdressers & mowers along with a Woolworths. Palmerston CBD is all not too far away & also Humpty Doo shopping Precinct which has mechanics, auto electricians & another Woolworths shopping Complex with various specialty shops. Humpty Doo has Taminmin college which is also one of the closet senior schools,a Golf Course & a couple of pubs.

We have lived in Girraween for past 12 years and think it is the absolute best, a really quality life, freedom, bird life, wonderful friendly neighbours, no roughnecks! nice familiy life, dog walkers, horse riders, quad riders wave as they pass you...everyone looks out for one another and freshwater creeks are good for a splash in the heat.... can't say anthing against It, it is so close to shopping centres and a quick drive to Casuarina, town and cinemas and restaurants, oh lots of community life like markets, fetes and stalls etc.!!!!!..
