Reviews of Goodwood, SA
"Family friendly inner city locale"
You are situated just behind Goodwood Road, one of Adelaide's trendiest dining and shopping precincts, and 3km from the CBD. After a busy week why not wind down over a delicious meal at the Balti House Indian Restaurant followed by a movie at the Capri theatre. Your night wouldn't be finished without a scrumptous dessert at the Eggless Dessert Cafe, literally across the road. The City is also easily accessible via bus or tram.
You will love the local architecture ranging from modern architecturally designed properties, many with pools and stylish urban living, through to delightfully renovated Cottages, Villas and Bungalows. Your weekends will never be dull with a plethora of local coffee shops, cafés, homewares, bridal stores and fashion houses to explore on Goodwood Road and King William Road.
You are zoned for the highly sought after Glenunga International Highschool and have Goodwood Primary School just down the road.

"Friendly and extremely safe while located seconds from the city!"
Located in the inner southern suburbs, Goodwood is an amazing area, and it is literally located seconds from the city centre of Adelaide! Goodwood is definitely a charm of a suburb, with many homes retaining a bungalow-style look while other old homes are being renovated or demolished for new homes. The streets are very clean and the locals here are quiet. Although it can be a bit pricey since the city is a doorstep ahead of it, most house prices are average. Goodwood is also very close to amenities, with small goodies, eateries/restaurants and daily shopping along Goodwood Road, Westfield Marion at Oaklands Park and Harbour Town at West Beach both only 20 minutes away, Unley Shopping Centre 5 minutes away, Burnside Village at Glenside 10 minutes and Rundle Mall in the CBD minutes away, to name a few. Schools covering the Goodwood are are excellent, with the widely-known Goodwood Primary School seconds away and Pasadena High School at Pasadena only 20 minutes away, Unley High School and much more. There are some nice parks in the area, too. Goodwood is an extremely safe neighbourhood as rarely any crime goes on around here and so goes the same for most of its surroundings. It's actually nice and pleasant to drive through this gem of an area!
Overall, what a beautiful suburb Goodwood is! Extremely safe, very friendly locals, and close to everything you need! I also like the fact how frequent festivals go on around this area or the other inner southern suburbs which are equally as beautiful and safe as Goodwood is. Move to Goodwood and fall in love, I'd sure love to live here if I could!

"Convenience of the City Fringe Lifestyle in a Family Friendly Environment"
Goodwood is a tremendous suburb with a great mixture of generations and ethnicity. It is very well balanced without the issues and crime of some areas, but all the shopping, cafes and creature comforts of a village type lifestyle with the CBD just a short bus, tram or train ride and even a walk, run, scoot for the younger at heart. We have raised our family here over the last 10 years and could not have asked for a more suitable place to do it.
Great for
- City fringe
- Village lifestyle
- Security
Not great for
- Cost of housing precludes some from taking up residence
