Reviews of Gormandale, VIC
"Small, easy going community set amid beautiful bushland country"
Country gippsland setting - Pristine native bush surrounds and undulating country hills give the town a relaxed atmosphere. Strong forestry development in area. Cattle and dairy industry also important as historially Gormandale is a farming community. Small, friendly town with general store (includes post office & liquor). Community centre which offers something for everyone and childcare centre. Local primary school and variety of high schools within 40 minutes. Great location with shopping centres at Yarram, Traralgon or Sale. Monash University has a campus in Churchill and a TAFE is provided in Morwell. All towns are about a 30 minute drive. Woodside beach is very close in addition to many national parks and points of historical interest. A bus service runs from Yarram to Traralgon 7 days a week. Gormandale is a close community, holding monthly social dinners and sporting a football team wih a popular and active club. Be an involved member of the community or just sit back on your porch and enjoy the fresh air - Gormandale has a lot to offer everyone from the young to the elderly. Laid back, old fashioned country living at its best.

"Fresh Air, Friendly Community and plenty of Nature to explore"
Since I've moved to Carrajung South three years ago, I've enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness in this area of Gippsland. The area is flanked by green slopes, valleys and hills creating lots of places for bushwalkers and people to explore. Horse riding is also one of many open air activities the local people enjoy here.
A variety of Fauna and Flora can be seen. Its a bird lovers paradise. Kookaburras and a myriad of other bird life can be found here. There are many farms in the area and also Pine plantations.
Neighbours are friendly and helpful. I have made more friends here then anywhere I've lived before. The community here in Carrajung is very creative and spiritual and live close to nature. They have a common bond of respecting each other and all living things.
