Reviews of Greenfields, WA
"Gloomy Melbourne to Greenfields"
Moved from Melbourne and have never looked back. Greenfields has everything so close to the beach and a short drive to the CBD. Easy to get around and good choice of restaurants and cafes. Big $$ recently spent on the swimming pool at the foreshore. Wise place to invest.

We're also moving from Melbourne and have recently bought in Greenfields. Haven't even been to WA! Sounds like we've chosen a good suburb.
"Country Roads get in while you can.."
Countrty Roads is the North part of Greenfields and the locals know it. Large blocks semi rural with alot of large trees. This is a great spot if you want a bit of extra room. At the time of writing this the market is starting to turn the proces are down compared to just before the GFC and now would be the best time to grab a bargain. Con of the past are internet - this is being addressed as Country Roads will be part of the NBN and has been surveyed to start work soon. A new gym at the Soutn end of Lakes road addresses this issue as well. The area is quiet most of the time.
Great for

"Greenfields"
Im not sure what Greenfields has a poor rating on this. Its close to everything, shops, train, bus, has a great little local deli, a liquor store, butcher, bakery, hairdresser and fantastic asian takeway and right near hospital and doctor surgery. It has parks and schools close by both public and private. The internet speed is fantastic. Its a 5min drive to the foreshore and restaurants, 10 mins to the beach. And now has freeway access close by. In regards to safety, im sure every area has a bad street or two, but most of the streets around here are filled with families and retirees and are very quiet. Most areas in Mandurah or Perth have crime etc, in fact I have heard of more crime taking place in other suburbs of Mandurah. For an area that is affordable with rent and to buy couldnt recommend Greenfields more.

This comment makes me feel very optimistic. I am in the throws of purchasing a home in Greenfields in the estate that sits in the corner of Mandurah road and Pinjarra road (actually opposite side from the Mandurah forum) and have been scrolling through review pages to see if I can anything negative about the area but thankfully nothing to unlike your post! I am a 30 year old first home buyer looking for a quieter life than my Melbourne inner city life is allowing me but also appreciate certain conveniences. Have you found anything hard to live with in Greenfields?
