Reviews of Gulgong, NSW
"A perfect country town"
Gulgong is a wonderful town.
Firstly the practical stuff. The internet service is good. There is a few different school options, good local super market and a bunch of different restaurants,
cafes and bakeries.
Tourists bring in a nice income for the stores, so they provide a nice service that the locals benefit from.
The people are very friendly, and the town is very safe.
There is a few nice pubs, and the thai restaurant is phenomenal.
It’s very quiet at night, and the stars are amazing.

"Quiet, artsy town that Henry Lawson spent a little time in"
Gulgong is a small town outside of the larger town of Mudgee in the central west of NSW. Unexpectedly, it has a strong art community, a farming fraternity and a number of people who live locally work in some of the surrounding mines (though none - thankfully - are terribly close to town). It's a great place to raise kids and has excellent primary schools.
The town has a strong sporting influence and the local Kumon educational facility is very popular.
