Reviews of Hillarys, WA
"Overpriced, over rated, full of CUBS"
Bogans everywhere.....where these people are getting their money from is beyond me. A $1.6 million dollar home that is bought by one person who's a tradie and wife is stay at home with 3 kids in private schools is sus. Every second home has a boat or caravan or jetski......the boats and jetskis drive us mad as people spend hours running & cleaning them and the smell is rank. If you see a home with a jetski in the driveway, do not move in there as always a brainless rude bogan living there.
$1000 week rents on homes that are teeny, $850k for a tiny villa? Wtf
Full of posers, rude inconsiderate aholes. Noisy everywhere.
Footpaths are uneven, damaged or have cars parked on them so have to walk on the street...great if you have a pram.
St Mark's Drive where people get big dogs in tiny homes and let them bark all day....poor dog, poor neighbours. The "Barn" house in particular has never had a decent occupant in years....
Ninnis Place.. .dog barks all day long. All day. Party house
People have roosters (illegal), cuss at police, get drunk too much & it's become a dump
Broadbeach Blvd full of bogans with huge cars, caravans & boats that never seem to work. Just sit outside running the boat.
Endeavour Rd is just commercial and old people living in old overpriced homes & a great bypass via Cook Avenue & Banks for hoons to speed up & down, evading Marmion Ave speed cameras.
Disrespectful teen idiots on e scooters riding in the middle of the road at night calling people c*nts or thinking it's funny to pull suddenly into traffic to try to get cars to crash. Brilliant.
Power always going out somewhere once a week, roads always need repairs, weekly water outages common, wifi is atrocious. Building more and more homes and power grid not updated to keep up with this demand. God forbid if you turn on the aircon in summer as it'll take the entire block down.
Graffiti, rubbish everywhere, homeless people camping out at bus stops.
Seriously wish we could move but in this market it's unlikely as only 1 of us works so we realistically cannot afford anything in this market.
Sick of this place. Move elsewhere
"Ok suburb near the beach"
Great if you visit the beach everyday.
The marina feels run down and best avoided. Used to be a hybrid tourist/foodie heaven but now only features overpriced fad eateries and a good swimming spot for school kids.
Further North you have the new Ocean reef marina or south the Scarborough redevelopment. Both feels much more “hot”. Still not a bad suburb.

"Coastal suburb with a great community feel"
I have lived in Hillarys for 30 years, it is a friendly, clean suburb with a great community feel. There are lovely parks, great for walks, picnics and families. Also has some lovely local cafes and close to Perth's best beaches and the Hillarys Boat Harbour - also nearby to Westfield Whitfords with the brilliant entertainment precinct.

"Hillarys I Beachside Living I Walk & Cycleways I Restaurants I Shopping ... the list goes on"
Location, Location & Lifestyle. Having raised our children in the Northern Beaches, Hillarys was a chosen area when my family decided to move away from the larger back yard, to a lifestyle sized more manageable property, within easy walking to the beach. It's so close to Hillarys Marina and Sorrento Quay (open 7 days a week), Under Water World, Rottnest Ferry, Fishing Charters, cafes, restaurants, and cafes. Hillarys is also home to the Whitford Shopping Centre, a large shopping centre, complete with movie theatres. A great area to raise children, with some safe swimming beaches and lots of parks.

"Live the dream"
The borders of Hillarys are Whitfords Avenue to the west and north, Marion Avenue to the east and Hepburn Avenue to the south. There is a huge mix of housing and prices vary accordingly. Hillarys Boat Harbour and Marina to the south west, are a huge attraction with shopping, restaurants, cafes and family attractions that include crazy golf, water park and amusements. There is also a sheltered child friendly beach within the Marina.
Whitfords shopping centre is located to the north east of the suburb on the corner of Whitfords Avenue and Marmion Avenue. There is a good selection of shops which are now open on a Sunday too. A smaller shopping area is located along Flinders Avenue with a small Coles store. There is a good primary and secondary school in the suburb, both of which have good reputations.
So Hillarys - with plenty of parks for kids play and dog walking, dedicated beaches for dogs, horses, windsurfers and boats, this could be your dream location.
