"Too close to the airport"
We looked at buying here but couldn't get past the aircraft noise.

"Close to everything"
Quick to zip into town and back or Smithfield shops. 10 mins to airport.

"Too much aircraft noise both day and night"
The comination of more aircraft arriving early AM and late PM and the morning traffic heading into town has made the suburb less liveable. The fact no schools exist in the suburb and Cairns poor public transport is also a major pitfall.
"'Beautiful beachside living'"
Love living at Holloways Beach, with the convenience of Cairns city only minutes away this friendly beachside village has all the necessities. Driving through the cane to reach the beach, you just can't feel anymore tropical !! Love the beach cafe and restaurants, and then having a stroll on the beach on those sweet balmy nights !!

"Prices at all time lows=great for investors and owner occupiers!"
Unspoilt...yet only 10 mins to city, major shopping outlets, Cairns nightlife and airports. A variety of dining options complement the area as well as a sporting club, mini marts, a bottleshop, newsagency and video shop. Buses run frequently to the area taking you either North or South...Locals are very protective of their environment and many like to keep it a secret!! It is a misconception that plane noise is a problem for the suburb...Aircraft are at their lowest at the first roundabout off the main service road (Wistaria St)...however there are very few late flights entering Cairns and planes taking off generally do so to the south. Great markets once a month on the beachfront are becoming very popular. I say all that equals a great place to live at what is currently a very affordable price...get in now and make a great long term investment decision. The only way is up!...BTW absolute Beachfront here means just that...No roads in between...not many of those in this city!! These ones hold their value and are tightly held properties...Currently there are a couple available...If you don't have the $ for these...look one street back!

"Fabulous"
Holloways has fabulous beaches and a boat ramp. It is very unspoilt and you can often walk alone on the beach at the Southern most and Northern most ends. People love to have a dip, or catch a fish here. The locals gather at "my beach every evening with a beverage to watch the sun go down. The local eateries have stunning ocean frontage and offer friendly service. We love it here as it has a laid back natural & unspoilt atmosphere.
