"LITTLE COUNTRY TOWN ON THE PENINSULA"
Lemon Tree Passage is a suburb of the Port Stephens Local Government Area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, located at the end of the Tilligerry Peninsula and surrounded by the waters of Port Stephens.
It is a haven for koalas due to it being densely wooded. The town has a small marina and the local industry is oyster farming.
The suburb is separated from nearby Bulls Island by a small strait which is also known as Lemon Tree Passage.
The town is small and quaint, I went for a drive here while holidaying in Nelson Bay recently and it was well worth the trip, Lemon Tree Passage is a sleepy little country town where you can enjoy fish and chips for lunch on the marina or a spot of fishing, its a picturesque village style environment.
You will notice the “laid back” attitude of locals and the serene sense the minute you arrive.

"A great place to escape to for peace and quiet."
I'm a long time local resident of Lemon Tree and have always enjoyed its quiet, tranquil surrounds. If you like a spot of fishing, or a ride or walk through its established bushland trails, It's a perfect place to relax and escape the busy city lifestyle and unwind. It has excellent boating access to Port Stephens and there are some great spots for a swim or a picnic. The local facilities are good, with the neighbouring suburbs of Tanilba Bay and Mallabula, having good shopping & sporting facilities.
A great spot for a weekend away and an even better place to live permanently!
