Reviews of Long Jetty, NSW
"Lakeside living"
Long Jetty is a town passing through heading to The Entrance, nestled between the Ocean and Tuggerah Lake. It has lots of cool trendy shops and cafes. Once a sleepy seaside village, now a trendy place to chill out and enjoy the serenity. (Kelley Seaton, Director/Property Manager, The Leasing Network, 0400 454 531, [email protected])

"Best kept secret on the central coast"
Wow what a great area so close to the ocen and beaches , great life style and nice people, no crime, easy access to all the central shopping centres and just a world away from the city and stress, easy comute to sydney and come back and forget about work put your feet up and feel the sea breeze in your face , you will know your in heaven or close to it, great place to bring up kids and beaches with in 2 mins, only noise you will hear is the birds singing in the morning and the ocean at night when the wind is blowing west..

"I would love to live here"
My Partner and I plan to buy our own home soon and this is def one of the subburbs we would love to live in.
The Pros:
1. We LOVE the long paths and cycle facilities. We often walk the dogs/ride bikes around the lake and love it so much!
2. The parks are great, good BBQ and table facilities, great playgrounds - neat, clean, family friendly. A great place to raise kids
3. The homes are reasonaly priced and the people are nice
4. Loads of resturants near by - not at long jetty itself there a few cafes) but the entrance is great for dining out (just a few mins away) as well as terrigal and avoca (not far away either)
5. Shops are close. You have Bay Village and Erina not too far away, also lakehaven and tuggerah (20 mins away).
6. The beaches are so close (coastal town), Norah Head all the way down to terrigal. these are not too far, includes shelly beach.
7. There are things to do, everything from water sports, cycling, walking, ten pin bowling, put put golf, (normal Golf), as well as swimming, sunbaking.
8. Its the centre of great places, beaches, shops, schools and offers a great lifestyle.
The downsides are:
1. not as many medical facilities as some suburbs
2. Public Trnasport is pretty low (but i drive so it does not bother me)
3. The main st shops are a bit run down (not all are occupied and some are run down) - not all though
Overall the people are friendly, its central to fantastic facilities, clean, neat and safe. I would love to live here.

"Lots of variety, beautiful scenery."
I live in Oaks Ave, i am having trouble finding childcare full time - using 2 different centres. The breeze is great in summer. Lots of parks for the young kids, could be more trees. The lake is beautiful and the path is great motivation for excercise.

"Not the best"
Not much to do at long jetty and this one is a bit out from local shops and beaches

"walk to the beach"
Most people dont realise that Long Jetty goes east of the Highway and almost to the beaches of Shelly, and Toowoon Bay, an east side location can be as little as 250meters walk to the beach, somethnig you pay 2x the price for in one of the "beach side" suburbs, which in some cases are no closer to the beach than Long Jetty properties.
Why not catch the bus to the Entrance to eat out? is only 5 mins and gives you a great option to relax by the water.

Love Long Jetty, its safe, its clean and the beaches are beautiful and very handy to walk to!
My family loves the beachy atmosphere and the nightlife has a variety of bands and entertainment, and the Legues club is a winner with us!
This place is going to be big, and its a great suburb of Sydney, major highways and boat access is all around it! We luv it!
