We have been living in Glen Osmond for years now and can truly say it's our favourite suburb in South Australia. The perfect blend of city living with a quiet country-like lifestyle. Only 15 minutes from the city CBD and 15 minutes from Hahndorf.

Glen Osmond is a great place to live.
My family and I have lived here for 5 years and love it.
All our neighbors are very friendly and usually have a Christmas get together on the local reserve .
Clean streets and very quiet.
Close to most amenities,Good access to the city either by public or you own transport.
Good schools in close proximity (public or private).
Dependent on location and elevation you usually have great City and sea views.

A great suburb to live in. Quiet and friendly, close to the city with excellent shopping, in fact here you are spoilt for choice, with the new Woolworths opening up in Fullarton across from the expanding Foodland, Burnside, Mitcham and Unley shopping centres all near by. Excellent schools, both Public and Private. Only 3 houses have changed hands in our street in 22 years! that says a lot.

Having lived in Myrtle Bank for over 30 years, we have sold our house most reluctantly.

We have great schools, parks, close to the city, close to shopping on Unley Road, the Arkaba and Burnside Village.

Prior to living in Myrtle Bank, I have lived a minimum of 12 months in every Capital City in Australia, with the exceptions of Hobart and Darwin. Myrtle Bank will always be special to me.

Highgate is an older style suburb full of fully matured trees framing the wide side streets. The housing is of an immaculate standard with a strong mix of traditionally styled houses and contemporary yet tasteful residences. Framed by Fullarton and Cross roads, many of the streets are dead ends and the area contains some roundabouts and speed humps, thus ensuring that the area remains peaceful with only local traffic passing through. The suburb is home to a number of well manicured public parks, playgrounds and tennis courts and also home to The Concordia private school and two local primary schools.

The social makeup of the area is predominantly middle to upper class families, due to the close proximity to an array of high quality Private and Public schools. Highgate is also home to a large number of senior citizens and consequently is well serviced by a number of bus routes through to the city. Cost however is a factor with vacant land in the area a rarity, and as the suburb contains primarily traditional housing allotments, housing sells for a premium price with many houses containing adjacent swimming pools and/or tennis courts thus adding to the housing price.

Highgate is only a short drive or walk to the Unley road shopping precinct, Mitcham shopping centre with cinemas and the King William road boulevard.

Wonderful neighbourhood where everybody knows each other. We have street drinks every year at Christmas and there is always someone who will keep an eye on the house, feed the cat or collect hte mail when you're away. My kids walk to school and collect their friends along the way. We all feel safe. The best suburb I've lived in - ever.

A stunning, yet expensive area. Further up Glen Osmond Road towards the freeway entrance this exclusive suburb sits proudly. Beautiful old houses on wide tree lined streets, just to drive through here makes you feel better.

There are some huge gums in and around the area so that could be a problem in severe weather but I’d say its worth it.

Public transport services the area well with the main bus routes running down Glen Osmond Road and Portrush Road. Its close to the city and there are plenty of good places to eat around the area.

Shops close by and a post office, the area has a lot to offer.

Another one of the beautiful inner south eastern suburbs. Wide tree lined streets and beautiful old houses are the hall mark of this area.

It is well serviced by public transport and it’s a short trip on the bus into the city. You could walk if you wanted to as its not that far but it may take a while.

It’s a lovely quiet area that is perfect for families with good sized blocks.

There are some good shops near by, including the Arkaba and its not too far from Unley Road.
If you want to get out for a meal there are plenty of god eateries close by, including on Glen Osmond Road, Unley Road and into the city.

I really like Myrtle Bank but it is sadly out of my price range.

Glen Osmond is a huge suburb offering an array of different living options. There are some large old homes with big gardens and many with swimming pools. There are recently modern homes, with many built as duplexes with courtyard gardens. There are also older cottages which are great for student living, although some are in need of some renovation.

The location is very convenient to the city. Just follow Glen Osmond Road and you will be in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD within minutes, although take note that traffic on this road can come close to a standstill during peak hour. Public transport is easy and convenient, with frequent buses during the day.

The area has all of the services that you will need – from supermarkets, grocery stores, a couple of small gyms, post office and coffee bars. The small shopping strip contains a number of ‘seconds’ stores, which is great if you’re looking to rummage for a bargain and not much else. However Burnside Village is just five minutes away, which a huge complex offering everything you need - a large Coles supermarket, a number of gourmet food shops, pharmacies, a huge range of clothing, shoe and jewellery shops, hair and beauty salons, post office, banks and a number of cafes and coffee bars.

The one thing lacking from Glen Osmond is a good pub or restaurant, so you will need to head to neighbouring Unley or Fullarton if you want to catch up with your friends over a drink or dinner.
