The peaceful country town has been inviting to newcomers to the area or those returning to the town to raise families and is popular amongst young families and downsizers. As at December 2019, 86% of residents are primarily owner occupiers with recent properties on average selling within 7 days or less. The population has increased by 9.1% over the past 5 years.
This picturesque rural town is surrounded by rolling hills and lush green grazing land, and it has developed into a popular stop over for those venturing further afield to Mount Baw Baw. It also has grown into an appealing place to visit for travellers in the area and is well served by its collection of galleries, cafes and gourmet food outlets.
