Reviews of Noarlunga Downs, SA
"Great location, affordable, convenient and great homes"
By far one of the most under rated suburbs down south! Fantastic location in close proximity to Collonades Shopping Centre, Southern Expressway, Port Noarlunga Beach. The amount of shops close by makes life very convenient without having to drive more than 2 minutes for anything. Good quality homes specially at Riverview Estate and The Point with stunning views.
Only around a 30 to 35 minute drive to the CBD thanks to the expressway. Still a fairly affordable when compared to other suburbs.

"One of the best located suburbs in Adelaide."
I think Noarlunga downs is one of the most under rated suburbs in Adelaide. Its reputation suffers a bit from the small areas of trust in the old section of Noarlunga Downs but there has been and continues to be a lot of these home being sold off. The truth is though with the newer developments such as Riverview estate and The Point you have some of the nicest homes in the south with great sea and river views, an excellent private school and easy access to the massive Centro Colonnades, redeveloped Train Station, South Adelaide football club, the Beaches of Port Noarlunga and Christies Beach and the soon to be duplicated southern expressway it is both a convenient and fun place to live. Add to this the easy access to some of SA's best restaurants and wineries in the McLaren Vale wine region whets not to like about Noarlunga Downs.

"Not all it's cracked up to be"
From street to street the tranquility of life may vary widely - there seems to be a disproportionate number of loud music-playing teenagers and animals around here. The houses may look too pretty for hoons to be around but unfortunately not. I've also read somewhere that because of the demographic (most people out working all day) the area gets a lot of break-ins. Let's hope it improves :-/

I guess you shouldn't listen to what you've 'Heard'! Lets focus on the facts, Great family homes with views, close to the best private school in the south, close to the best beaches in Adelaide, Great shopping options, mclaren vale wine region on your door step and its affordable! Whats not to love!
i know what you mean about the loud music and animals. I live in the older part of Noarlunga Downs and there are people across the road and two doors down that like to play their music far too loud. There are also A LOT of dogs around here that bark constantly. Definetly not all its cracked up to be
Can anyone comment on the internet speed in the Area>?
Well, since when were the southern suburbs such an issue to people?! Basically every suburb in the southern suburbs can outrightly win over every single concept of lifestyle, community and workstyle than the Northern suburbs and that's a fact! I live in the inner northern suburbs and sure do hope moving away from here to the fresh air of the southern suburbs in a few years, and can't wait! I'm so enthusiastic and optimistic about that! No, no one can tell me the southern suburbs is bad because I would simply, but bluntly tell you, "Live in the Northern suburbs, then get back to me!"!!!
One of the best suburb to live in the South, beautiful river , ocean and hill views, near the beaches, colonnades, train station , souther express . Good school private and public.all is very convenient.
Hi Pealos, How about the speed of the internet, with ADAM or tesltra etc.. the broadband - any issues?
Maybe if your living next to housing trust homes this may be the case. Or in the older part of the suburb, never had an issue.
