Noranda, WA 6062

We have been living in Noranda for 20 years and have brought up our two daughters here and have always felt safe. We love the area as it has lots of parks and a great shopping centre. It is very easy to travel around Perth from Noranda. You can get to the airport and down south with almost no traffic lights once you get on the Tonkin Highway. The beach is only 15 minutes away straight down Reid Highway. It’s very close to the Swan Valley, which we go to often to have a coffee or winery lunch. Noranda is also getting a train line which will make it very convenient and quick to get to the city. We also have a very progressive city council that engages the community for future planning so everyone gets a say on what is important to them. I feel like it is a hidden gem as house prices are still very good considering the location and amenities.

I Live at the morley end of Noranda and have had some really bad luck with burglaries.
The cops say there is a patch of crime that will pass and its normally kids from Morley.

Noranda shops are pretty good as is the ease to the galleria and the spud shed etc.

quick access to reid highway but the traffic jams there lately with the roadworks gives me a headache

Good place to live.
Super convenient with Reid & Tonkin highways making it very quick to go to the beach, airport, freeway and south west.
Great schools, close to the city and Galleria, Coventry village & Malaga shopping are close by if you want a change from the Noranda Palms shopping centre which has everything you'll need.
Lots of great houses on full blocks but tightly held so if you find a good home buy it.

I moved to Noranda after living in Mirrabooka for 20yrs and its a nice safe area to live. My partner is FIFO and I feel secure at night and not frightened to be on my own. Lots of parks, shops and close to airport links and city. Houses are value for money and there seems to be very little rentals about which means most houses are well maintained.

I have been living in Noranda for over ten years now and have experienced absolutely no qualms with it whatsoever. We have lovely neighbours who always greet us in the morning before we drive to work, and there's one Italian lady who even brings us Christmas sweets around that time of the year. It's a quiet neighbourhood with good Internet access, and many parks to be found thanks to the Bayswater shire. Safety is not a big issue and there are plenty of boutiques and other shopping/medical facilities to be found. Furthermore, it is only a 15-20 minute drive to the CBD for the ones who enjoy a big nightlife. The value of our home has not decreased over these last few turbulent years and will hold its value. I highly recommend this quietly underrated suburb as a great place for raising a family, and for living peacefully.

Nice, small, close community. Everybody seems happy with their place in life. Quite a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Very pleasant area, close to good shops and schools. Not too far from the city. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Noranda is a leafy suburb 6 kms to the north of Perth. Close to Whiteman Park which is over 100 acres of bush, parklands and lakes ideal for barbeques and picnics, Noranda has some fine stately homes in the upper price range. The shopping facilities here are excellent with large centres offering everything from supermarkets and food courts to department and specialty stores and boutiques. There are excellent medical centres as well as your choice of hospital in the neighbouring suburbs. There are any number of allied health services such as physio and occupational therapists, optometrist, dentists etc. being so close to the city centre there is an unlimited choice of educational options both state and private with TAFE colleges nearby. Apart from Whiteman Park with its many features there are many playing fields, recreation centres and other sporting venues in Noranda and surrounding suburbs for your entertainment. There are also a number of cinemas, clubs and hotels with live entertainment and restaurants and cafes. The area has something to offer most people, those who prefer the suburbs as opposed to those who love a night on the town or a major shopping fix.
