Reviews of North Parramatta, NSW
"Well positioned suburb for the future"
Beautiful suburb with more parkland than most areas in Sydney. Nestled between the Parramatta CBD and Parramatta Lake, it offers great balance between city and suburban living with lots of amenity and outdoor activities. With rapid development in Parramatta and Parramatta North, residents are going to enjoy more amenity. There are lots of apartments, townhouses and beautiful heritage homes. The new metro west will also offer excellent public transport options for residents. For those who drive, there are lots of arterial roads around the suburb. North Parramatta is one of the most underrated suburbs in Sydney.

"If you're young"
If you're young and want a place that's really convenient - this would be it. I reckon that you could be close to pretty much whatever you need, and that means even the sports clubs and recreational facilities for when y you're not off commuting to work. Take a look around the area and I think that you'll find a number of restaurants in the vicinity that you would find yourself easily coming back to again later on too.

"Good in SOME Places"
North Parramatta has some lovely streets where the people are friendly and its green and clean. Unfortunetly I did not live in one of those places! I lived along Albert Street in the unit complexes and atleast once a month we had police calls to our block, loud parties from neighbouring blocks and the street was messy and had garbaged dumped.
If you are purchasing in North Parramatta it would pay to do your research so you end up in one of the lovely areas.

"It has everything you want and need."
Nth Parramatta is central to everything. You want great quality restaurants, they're around the corner. You want quality schools, they're up the road. You want great shopping, they're 2 mins away. There is never a shortage of things to do or see. The people are great, the atmosphere is quiet and everyone says goodmorning to each other. What fascinates me is the ambundance of heritage houses and buildings around the area. I have to add that people is Nth Parramatta are always helpful unlike Oatlands. I lived there for nearly 1 year and I hated it. The people are so stuck up and keep to them selves. Moving to Nth Parramatta was the best decision I made.

"A great place to bring up your family."
It is a small town that is family orientated. The neighbours are friendly, helpful and trustworthy. There are plenty of parks that are great for the young family or just walking your dog. We moved from Nth Sydney 2years ago and bought a house in Nth Parramatta. The reason why we bought in this area is for a number of things but mainly we were drawn to the lifestyle. We were lucky we bought then, because people have caught on and property prices are sky-rockerting.

"Very convenient and central"
I bought a unit in Brickfield St north 2 years ago and have resided here since handover. As an account executive I find this location very convenient to get in and around Sydney given the variety of road options. I'm also into recreational activities and North Parramatta has such a great variety to ovals to go for a run or do some exercise considering its right next to Sydney's second CBD. Now that finally Coles have opened a new store in the new Estrada building (cnr Victoria and Church) we finally have a more 1st world standard supermarket without having to battle for a parking spot in Westfield. I have noticed the people who live in the area are a variety of young professional couples to younger families from a wide variety of nationalities rather than just one type of race. There is a small bad element of youngsters who I believe are violent (thanks to drugs/alcohol) who roam the area and hang around the park between Isabella and Gladstone st. I even go approached by them when I returned late last night from the city - but they simply asked for some smokes which I couldn't help them with. But this is not exclusive to N. Parra as I've experienced similar activity in the east and innerwest within properties Ive have rented in the past.
I think North Parramatta is positioned well for future capital growth which is very much evidenced by the explosion of development in and around the area, both in terms of free standing residential and low/high rise development.

"Central location"
Located very closely to all types of schools, close to main eat street in Parramatta.
Lake Parramatta is great for kids, and keen bushwalkers. Lots of young families settling in.
It's great that you miss the peak traffic as North Parramatta (Pennant Hills Road) is the last exit before the afternoon peak time.

Hi, thanks for sharing the insight, which street was your unit in? we are planning to buy in north parramatta so info on particular areas to be avoided would be really helpful, thank you !
No crime, that was the past. Now its becoming a city, developing very quickly.
"Nice suburb that is close to Parramatta"
North Parramatta is a quiet suburb that is a quick five minutes' drive from Parramatta CBD. Buses are the main form of public transport for this suburb. The streets are clean and neatly lined with trees. The suburb of North Parramatta is a good mix of houses, townhouses and low-density residential units. Companies such as CGU and AON have office blocks on the Church Street side of North Parramatta.
There are several amenities around North Parramatta. These include parks, sporting fields, schools, tennis courts, fast food outlets and shops. It is a very nice suburb for families with kids. The only drawback of this suburb will be the fact that you will have to walk at least twenty minutes before you can get to Parramatta train station as buses around here are not that reliable.
